🛡 ACRA's position: a single surcharge coefficient on rental car insurance is the wrong tool

After a 1.5 coefficient was introduced for taxis, experts began talking about a surcharge for rental cars. The Association of Car Rental Companies of Azerbaijan responds:
❌ a blanket surcharge can't tell a responsible company from an unregistered one
💸 it would make renting more expensive for every customer, including those who have never had an accident
📊 instead: an insurance history coefficient of 0.6 to 3 for each company (currently fixed at one for legal entities)
🚗 the surcharge for an accident should stay with the driver at fault
✅ discounts for White List members with a clean record

"We are not against insurance reflecting risk. We are against an honest rental company paying for those who work without an inspection report and without insurance," says the ACRA chairman.
