This one has been a long time in the works!
The owner approached me a while back asking for his 5-speed manual BA to be converted to ZF 6-speed auto.
A LOT of time and effort went into this car, culminating in some extensive troubleshooting to finalise some issues, but it’s now complete.
Supplied and fitted:
-Complete BF Fairlane Ghia wiring harness, including bay and engine looms
-BF ZF-6HP26 transmission, bracket and harness
-BF single thermo fan
-BF ZF PCM and matching BCM
-BF ZF ABS pump and all metal brake lines
-BF A/C lines
-BF sedan airbag module
-BF steering angle sensor
-BF auto pedal box
-BF instrument cluster
-ZF 6-speed selector
-ZF sedan 6-speed tail-shaft
-ZF selector cable
Fitted supplied BFII NA engine, with ZF engine harness run
While in there, the following was also fitted:
-BF firewall mat
-Dual Zone ICC coded to car
-Rewired gauges to come on with parker circuit
-Re-ran floor fitted aftermarket sub wiring
-Complete lock system (upgraded to BF fitted ‘Huf Hülsbeck & Fürst’), replacing BA key set for BF ‘blade style’
-Modified rear airbag setup to have a pump killswitch hidden near handbrake boot
Diff ratio changed using PCMTEC to match the owners 3.45LSD and all is now working well!
