🔥CATASTROPHIC FIRE DANGER – FRIDAY 9 JANUARY
The CFA has declared Catastrophic Fire Danger for the Southwest district and most of the State tomorrow (Friday 9 January 2026). These are the most dangerous fire conditions and require immediate precautions.

🚫 All National Parks and reserves in our region are CLOSED, including:
• Budj Bim National Park
• Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve
• Glenelg National Park
• Grampians National Park
• Great Otway National Park
• Port Campbell National Park and the 12 Apostles
Please do not enter any parks, forests, or trails.

💧 Stay hydrated throughout the day & keep your pets safe
🚫 Avoid unnecessary travel in high‑risk areas
