Fancy seeing this in our little town of Woolooga today. This nicely done tribute car brings back some memories. I got to do a custom seat insert in this race car for French to see over the steering wheel, it had to be able to get removed and replaced quickly. The race seat was made for DJ and he was a tad taller than French.

I found this photo of one of our panel vans that we used for picking up seats in the late 80s , Wow !! How lucky was I 😎 my girlfriend (now wife) took that one to the Birdsville races, it had different wheels then though.
The one with the white wheels took us through the Daintree to Cooktown ! Who needs 4wd when you have horsepower 💪

Back to original AP5 Valliant, the frames were stripped right back, repaired and painted and so was the whole car body and rebuilt mechanicals. This is new again 🥳 great ol tough cars.

Just finished this HZ GTS design interior for a 1 toner. I love this old school design and it brings back lots memories of when I first started motor trimming. This one is actually black not the usual charcoal (slate) colour that you see mainly and it will suit red ute awesome especially with the blacked in sills and GTS front guards.
Door trims were done at Winner Products in SA, I can always rely on their great quality.

Ok! That explains a lot. I am knocking off work for the day. I am looking forward to my new workshop 🥳
