Our training facilities provide an excellent environment for the training of racehorses. Markwell Racing is based at Kembla Grange Racecourse and is committed to ensuring owners get the most fun and enjoyment out of their racehorses. Gwenda Markwell is the leading trainer at Kembla Grange having won the Champion Local Trainer of the Year for the past 15 years as well as also being the Kembla Grang

e Champion Trainer of The Year. In 2012-2013 season she beat both Chris Waller and Peter Snowden. Gwenda was also named the 2011/12 and 2018/19 NSW Provincial Trainer Of The Year and this year (2012-13) trained the Provincial Horse of The Year-Rolling Pin and (2018- 2019) - Angel of truth

Gwenda has excellent facilities for all her horses. The training tracks at Kembla Grange are well managed. Her private facilities are top class with modern swimming and walking facilities. Gwenda's horses are prepared without compromise.

Ross McConville has been involved with horses his whole life. He enjoyed success as an owner and a breeder before taking out his trainer’s licence after the passing of his partner, 18-time Kembla Grange premiership-winning trainer, Gwenda Markwell. Now supported by Assistant Trainer Nigil Mohanan, Ross has his sights set on The Warra with a special horse he bred himself.
