Did we get the transition right?

We’ve had the pleasure of linking up with the boys at Flipside Energy and honestly, it’s been motivating seeing what they’re building and being able to bring what we do into the mix.

Troy Williams and Adrian Portelli have built something with a pretty simple mindset — think different, move fast and actually make s**t happen. That’s something we can get around.

So when they said, “Can you do the livery?” we weren’t exactly going to half-ass it.

This is only the beginning.

There’s a lot more coming with Flipside, and we’re only getting started.

Athena, where do we start
We don’t normally post things like this but this one’s different, we need the universe to know who you are and how special you are to us.

For those who know, know you were the heart of King Pin and us. You were there from the beginning of everything, the beginning of King Pin, the beginning of our relationship, the beginning of us growing up, you were there.

You seen it all, the good, the bad, the ugly & all the crazy things that have transpired, you were there.

Though things looked pretty on the outside, it has been a rough few years. We lost your bloodline early in unforeseen unfortunate circumstances, something that not only hurt in the moment but hits harder now that you are gone and they are not here.

We would be here all day putting everything into words but the one thing that we’ll mention that keeps us going is that you never gave up and neither will we. You got up a million times even when people said you wouldn’t, you kept fighting every step of the way and proved everyone wrong.

When we named you Athena we didn’t expect you to embody the meaning to the fullest but you did “Wise. Strong. Fearless. Protector.”

You were there from the beginning and will be with us until the end. We will forever remember you and continue your legacy of a warrior.

We know you are watching and we hope you are proud

We love you forever and always our sweet girl ❤️🪽

What a weekend at Division 1! 🇦🇺🇯🇵

An incredible event with special guest drivers .n_13 & ,alongside guest judge

We flew up to with a tight turnaround to get the car ready, pushing right through to the final minutes before the event. It was a huge effort from everyone involved, but thanks to the team behind it all, we got it across the line.

Massive thanks to everyone who helped make it happen and put on such an awesome event. Looking forward to the next one already.

You don’t always see the sleepless nights, the airport dramas, the kilometres travelled, and the chaos behind the scenes to make it happen

With flights booked for the 9th, we had less than 48 hours to print, cut, transfer and pack an entire FDJ livery while still keeping the workshop running

The plan looked simple on paper

Reality wasn’t

-Material delays
-Oversize baggage charges over 2cm
-One man down
And thousands of kilometres still ahead

The deadline?

The car had to leave for Formula Drift Japan on the 13th.

No extra days
No room for mistakes

Was it really enough time? In a sane world no

After a 30+ hour push, we got it done

This wasn’t a paying job

This is the level of commitment we bring when we choose to sponsor a driver. We don’t just put our name on a car, we invest the time, effort and resources needed to give our drivers the best chance to succeed, no matter what it takes.
