A Very Nice 1971 OPEL GT Import
The vehicle presented with no brakes as all were removed from vehicle before importation. some fine tuning, assembly, bleeding and all was well again. it is now registered in NSW. The vehicle drove very well, it is a head turner wherever you go. I believe only three are in the country. This is a rare but very well cared for vehicle with full service history a rare one owner in USA. The owner can be proud to own and drive this lovely car everywhere. Terry

This was a very nice presnted and highly modified HQ Holden vehicle. It is a credit to the owner. it worked very well. it passed all of the testing requirements. The vehicle went very well, stopped very well. the Supercharger was noisier than the exhaust. All Testing passed, and it is now legally registered. Hi everyone, it has been a while since I have written here. Mainly because I get darn busy and do not get the time or the inclination to do a new write up. Now that we are locked down and things are slowing a little, I have had a few darn good jobs to show all. Here we have a very nice Mercedes 0405 bus cleaned out ready for Motor Home conversion. Let me warn you do not turn your bus into a Medium or Heavy Rigid "Panel Van" as the green slip hits almost $4K PA... As a Bus with Seats green slip charges is approx. $1K and as a Motor Home again approx. $1K green slip. Shop around of course. We do not know this information until advised by the owners. As engineers we do not get involved in the Registration Fees and Charges. Good Luck on your conversions. An Isuzu 4 x Horse Float with 4 person Sleeping quarters getting a GVM Upgrade. 11000kgs to 14000Kgs. I had 2 x Replacement axles, brakes, suspension, Wheels and tyres. all from a later model donor truck. cheaper than purchasing a new larger truck and having the horse float rebuilt or replaced.

Freighter Tri-Axle Trailer ATM increase, Trailer was only rated at 20,000kgs for whatever reasons in the past? This trailer really can be rated at approx. 35,000Kgs. Investigations are being made to re-certify the trailer at a New ATM of 35,000Kgs this is underway at the moment. when finalised I will post the new ATM that i achieve.

I haven't posted anything for a while as i have been busy with quite a few type's of jobs for customers. But it is Real Nice working on a brand new truck, A recent job I had to inspect and Engineer/Certify a Crane Installation. First the crane must have a Load test where they load it to 125% in all angles at full extension. During this test the rear wheels on the unloaded side must not Lift completely off the ground. The inside tyre of the duals must remain on the ground at 125% load. if they do come off the ground the crane is de-rated until inside tyre come back down. This one passed well. Chassis didn't twist that bad. Well another job out of the way. I have four more to do like this. i will try to put more work up as i go. The next one i will put up is a Coach. The Coach I had to write a certificate for a WC and Seat Reduction.

Here are the photographs of the repaired chassis in the earlier post about Repairing the Chassis of the Ford Ranger-II. Note the Clean Unpainted Welds first and then the last three photographs of what appears to be painted welds or Spot Painted Welds. This white media is the Die or Medium used to check for Cracks or Poor Welding Procedures. None were found to be Bad or Poor Welding procedures or techniques, So it was all was good to go back on the road. In other words a very good repair was made. Remember this is not an upgrade, it is a repair. This is a chassis that can still bend or break esp. if overloaded. Or loaded incorrectly. Terry Leeder 0412 208 919
