Thank you to all of those who gave their time at the last working bee it is much appreciated. Leading up to the New Years Thunder there are a number of tasks that we need to get done. So we are holding a working bee on the 03/01/22 beginning at 7am and concluding at 1:30pm. The intention is to get all complete in 1 day.

The main tasks that we need to accomplish as below: Mowing & Whipper snipping the complete facility (including below the grandstand, VIP car park, old junior pit area etc), Cleaning up the gardens to behind the office area & Louie Memorial, Remove fill from new disable toilet area to bottom of facility, Move clean fill to top of the spectator mound for spreading on bald spots plus some other odd jobs.

If you have any of the following that you can bring along it would be much appreciated: Mowers (ride on and push), Whipper Snippers, Hedge Trimmers, wheelbarrows, rakes & shovels etc.
We need approximately 20 people to help us out to get everything done in the 1 day prior to the New Year’s Thunder.

Big shout out to all the lads on the Project Committee who have busted their bums to get the facility tidied up, start line repainted, new disable toilets installed and some extra seating installed on the mound.

Also some massive thank yous to PrimeSigns SpeedElec For the running & hooking up of power to the disable toilet, Neil Grayson Concreting for the ramp for the disable toilet & to Darren Aldridge from Alltype Engineers for the speedy installation of the ramp hand rails. Without you all this project wouldn’t have got over the line in time.

Sorry bit of a fopar on my behalf, one other important part of making the new disable toilet work is of course......Sewerage connection....Special thanks to Brian Alvisio & his team for connecting it up in some rather difficult circumstances, but this will no doubt be mended post Winternationals!!

Also big thank to all the lads who give up their time to be part of the committee to improve our aging facility especially in my absence recently for some personal matters.

Hope everyone has a great Gulf Western Oil Winternationals and we see lots of happy spectators in the stands.

Dan
