We’re hiring! Whether you’re a skilled Heavy Transport Mechanic or an experienced Leading Hand / Supervisor, we want to hear from you. Join a high-performing team in a well-equipped workshop, working on a wide range of heavy vehicles and machinery.

🔧 Positions Available:
1. Heavy Transport Mechanic
Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy transport vehicles (trucks, trailers, excavators, loaders)

Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance

Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults

Work closely with other team members to ensure top-quality outcomes

2. Leading Hand / Supervisor
Oversee daily operations in the workshop and lead the mechanical team

Mentor and support mechanics and apprentices

Coordinate jobs to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality

Communicate with management regarding job progress and workflow

Perform hands-on mechanical work as required

✅ What We’re Looking For:
Trade-qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Cert III or equivalent)

Proven experience in heavy transport maintenance and repair

Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and trailer systems

Leadership experience (for Leading Hand / Supervisor applicants)

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

HR or HC licence an advantage

High regard for safety and attention to detail

I would like to give a huge thank you, to some businesses and friends in Whyalla and surrounding areas for all the help the last few months. Setting these vehicle's up for the future.

(A1 welding) For the custom trays.
(MJM blasting) For the awesome paint work
(Deon Signs) For the awesome sticker work
(Yuillgan racing) For the support and help
(Eds logistics) For all the random trips across the country side.
There are so many more buisnesses and people that have helped. I cant list everyone but once again Thank you for the support.

We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for all the combined efforts of everyone.
It has been a few tuff months for whyalla but as we all know there is light at the end of the tunnel.

2025 look out we are prepared and ready.

We always get asked why? We have VB identification numbers on our utes.

I chose to use VB as my father was always a fan of the green tins. He always told me if you are going to do something be the very best you can be.

So, when you see our utes getting around town, that's the reason for VB it is a memorial to a great bloke that help me become who I am today.
