After 70 incredible years at the Nanowie Track, this year’s Whyalla Show Weekend will mark our final race meeting at the place we’ve all called home since 1956.
With Tilt Renewables building a new wind farm as part of Whyalla’s continual growth, WMCC has been working closely with Whyalla City Council to secure new land for our future. We’re also extremely grateful to Council for providing grant funding to support our move.
A huge thank you to the many farmers who’ve supported us over the decades, especially Eric Aspey and his family for their generosity and for supplying water so we could keep racing without you our sport would not be possible.
And a big thank you to Tilt Renewables for their financial contribution to help us relocate and rebuild.
Let’s make this last race “Shutting the gates 2026”one to remember. 🏁
History behind us, a new chapter ahead.
Whyalla City Council is pleased to announce the latest recipient of the Community Grants and Donations Program, with a grant awarded to the Whyalla Motorcycle Club to support its relocation project. 🏍️
This initiative offers two levels of funding and backs a wide range of recreational, sporting and social projects that make a positive contribution to the city.
Applications for grants and donations are welcomed throughout the year, with multiple funding rounds providing opportunities for community groups to seek support when needed.
