Heads up!

So as of July 1st 2026 QLD transport are dropping the HVRAS scheme ( pre registration inspections), so that’s the measure up side of things for light trailers over 750kg and heavy vehicles.
Essentially now you will be able to do this yourself being the registered owner or manufacturer. Now if you don’t want to do it yourself or can’t be bothered then previous HVRAS accredited people can still do it for you, but you will definitely be charged for us to do it as well being our time isn’t free and we are a business that has overheads and government to pay our hard earned money to.
So at least now you can do it yourself if you want to save yourself some money!

Below is the link to transport site that will have all the information needed for you from transport from July 1st!

You will no longer need to be accredited to provide this assistance, and registered operators can choose to complete the forms themselves.

From 1 July 2026.
Existing vehicle inspection sheets used by HVRAS accredited persons will continue to be used for pre-registration inspections. Slightly amended versions of these inspection sheets will be available on the TMR website from 1 July.
Registered operators and vehicle manufacturers can complete the relevant form themselves or seek assistance from a representative which may include a previously accredited HVRAS provider.
Existing guidance material on the TMR website will remain available for customers and representatives to reference.
Links to the updated inspection sheets and guidance material will be provided to you on 1 July.
