In the Traffic ..

We’ve had some unexpected spots in May, but this McLaren Elva stuck in Hoddle Street traffic on Friday afternoon may just take the cake. It was later seen in Porsche Centre Melbourne customer parking. Let us know if you also saw it out.
The Elva was limited to 149 units, this being number 132 and one of just two in Australia (the other is in Perth). Its deep shade of purple is called Amethyst Black and its lack of a windscreen makes it one of the more unusual supercars in recent memory. If you’re wondering why it doesn’t have one, McLaren puts it like this: the Elva is “born to heighten every sense and build the closest connection between driver, car and the elements.”
Although McLaren did offer the option of a windscreen, most Elvas were delivered without. Those cars (this one included) are equipped with an Active Air Management System, essentially a carbon-fibre blade which raises out of the bonnet to deflect air away from occupants’ faces negating the need for goggles or helmets.
Converting from GBP and not including any taxes, the Elva cost a staggering $2.65 million.

The Toyota Hilux has been Dethroned by the Ford Ranger as the top selling Ute. The “Oh what a feeling” Hilux was the best selling Ute for the past 7 years but in the first 4 months of this year the Ford Ranger is up 30% in sales whilst the Hilux is down 16% in sales. 🇦🇺

However, Toyota overall still holds the crown for the most sold vehicles in Australia. 👑

New 5.0-star Review: "Wow! These guys just get better and better with every interaction. It's clear Hogan Prestige is a company that values it's clientele. I bought my BMW from Anthony and Terry in 2021. Anthony in particular made the transaction seamless, and I drove out of the showroom feeling that I'd made a sound purchase. As a consumer, you never quite know what's going on under the bonnet and whether your purchase will turn out to be a good one, but the car has driven so well this last 10 months. When a rear blinker component failed just recently, I went to my nearest mechanic, and quoted $450 just for the part, let alone installation. So I called Hogan Prestige to see whether my BMW was still under warranty, and although it wasn't, Anthony very kindly offered to order the part in and fit it for me. Again, another no-fuss process, and when it was installed, he wouldn't let me pay anything! What a guy, what an organisation.
