🚗🔍 BUYING A SECOND-HAND CAR? DON’T JUST TAKE THEIR WORD FOR IT!

Buying a used vehicle is exciting… but it can also come with some expensive surprises! 😬💸

Whether you’re buying privately, from a car yard, or the vehicle already comes with a RWC, it’s worth getting an independent pre-purchase inspection or second RWC done by your own mechanic.

👉 But it already has a RWC… isn’t that enough?

A Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) if done correctly is there to confirm that a vehicle meets the required minimum safety standards at the time of inspection. It is NOT a full mechanical inspection and doesn’t tell you everything about the vehicle’s overall condition.

A pre-purchase inspection can give you a better understanding of things like:

🔧 Engine and transmission condition
🛞 Brakes, suspension & steering
🚗 Signs of previous accident or repair work
💧 Oil or coolant leaks
⚡ Electrical and diagnostic faults
🔍 Tyres and general wear
📋 Potential repairs that may be coming up
💰 Anything that could turn into an expensive surprise after you buy it

And remember — a RWC from a dealership or seller doesn't necessarily mean the vehicle is mechanically perfect.
Getting your own independent inspection before handing over your hard-earned money can give you peace of mind and help you make a more informed decision.

🚨 THIS IS WHY YOU DON’T IGNORE YOUR BRAKES! 🚨

We’ve just replaced some seriously worn-out brake pads that had gone well beyond their serviceable life… and the result wasn’t pretty! 😳

🛑 The brake pads were completely metal-on-metal, causing:

❌ The loose metal backing plate to become lodged in the brake assembly
