🔧 Maintenance Monday – Episode 12 | Vane Pump Oil

This week we're looking at how oil plays a big part in keeping your vane pump running smoothly.

Vane pump oil does more than just lubricate. It helps creates a tight air seal, reduce friction, manage heat and protect the pump's internal components from wear.

Running the wrong oil, low oil levels or oil that's past its best can lead to increased wear, reduced performance and potentially costly damage.

Regularly checking your oil level and condition, and keeping up with scheduled oil changes, is a simple way to help keep your pump performing as it should.

A little maintenance goes a long way!

🔧 MAINTENANCE MONDAY | EP 11 - POST-WORK CHECKS

The job might be finished, but your maintenance shouldn't stop when the work does.

Post-work checks are an important part of keeping your vacuum truck in good working order and helping prevent small issues from turning into bigger problems.

A few minutes at the end of the day can save plenty of time, money and headaches down the track.

Look after your equipment, and it'll look after you.

This month, one of our low-clearance vacuum units is heading south to Sydney for Ausjet & LEW Expo 26 and we're making the most of the trip along the way.

Ben Fuller will be behind the wheel, using the trip to showcase the unit, build new connections and explore opportunities with businesses as he goes.

🔧 MAINTENANCE MONDAY | EP. 10 — PRE-START CHECKS

Before the truck starts work, take a few minutes to check the basics.

A good pre-start can help catch small issues before they turn into downtime.

✅ Check your hydraulic oil and vac pump oil levels
✅ Inspect hoses, fittings and connections
✅ Look for leaks or damage in your sight glass
✅ Check rear door and wingnuts, make sure they are tight
✅ Make sure your valves are operating correctly and the dust caps on clipped on
✅ Check that equipment you may need for the day is there and ready to go

It might only take a few minutes — but those few minutes can make a big difference to the day ahead.

Check it before you start it.
