Fresh set of 265/75R16 MAXXIS Razr MT772 mud-terrains for our good friends at JC Fencing VIC.

When you're doing this kind of work, it goes without saying you're going to want a durable, off-road tyre that's not going to let you down. The Maxxis Razr MT772 is exactly that. In addition to being the absolute beast of a tyre it is, if you keep up with your rotations you're going to find this is actually a rather quiet muddie that can achieve some pretty impressive miles. We're actually seeing it last longer than its all-terrain brother - the Razr AT811. No idea how the heck that works but there ya go - normally its the other way round. Anyway, Maxxis have the hit the nail on the head with this one.

75,000km done and dusted!

For a tyre to have exceptional dry grip, outstanding wet performance, unbelievably precise steering and be an absolute class leader in terms of noise levels and comfort, it's normally going to be quite a soft compound which means you're probably not going to achieve the best mileage. All of these characteristics belong to the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV however... this set just completed a whopping 75,000km! For a UHP (ultra high performance) tyre with a treadwear rating of only 220, that is an incredible effort. It was a no brainer for this customer when it came time for a new set after he without a doubt got his money's worth and more.

This week, LifeChanger Founder and CEO Scott Watters featured in Western Australia's Sunday Times.

After living and breathing professional football for many years - and playing and coaching at the highest level - Scott shifted into youth mental health.

He says working in juvenile detention was "one of the greatest jobs" he's ever had.

Scott believes all young people want to live full, purposeful lives and have infinite potential inside them. This is how LifeChanger came to be.

WHY TYRE ROTATIONS ARE SO IMPORTANT!

No matter what you drive or what tyres you're running, it is absolutely imperative that you keep on top of regular tyre rotations. Tyre rotations are free of charge when you purchase a set of 4 tyres from Garden Tyrepower Warrnambool. It's a job that takes 15-30 minutes depending on what's happening on the day. Your rear tyres get a balance and then shifted to the front of the vehicle whilst your front tyres go to the rear. Depending on how they're wearing/vehicle type will depend on whether they are criss-crossed or not. An air pressure check on all tyres is also completed. We can also inspect tyre wear and speak to you about a Wheel Alignment if required. Free rotations are offered on passenger vehicles every 5,000km and every 10,000km on 4WD's. A sticker to help you remember when you're due is placed at the top of your windscreen unless you request for it to go some place else. So why are they important?

Pictured here we have a MAXXIS MT772 RAZR. It is what we'd class as a premium mud terrain tyre. These bad boys are without a doubt one of the best muddies available on the market that manage to achieve unbelievable mileage whilst remaining peak performers off road. This is the front passenger side tyre and a perfect example as to why tyre rotations are so important. If these had've been rotated on time, we would've picked up on the heel-and-toe wear pattern and prevented it from getting any worse by moving it to the rear of the vehicle and completing a front end Wheel Alignment. With a bit of luck we may still be able to achieve more uniform wear as this tyre is now on the rear of the vehicle. But at the end of the day, the sooner we pick up on wear issues, the more tyre life we can help you preserve. Rotations are especially important the more aggressive a tyre becomes. Mud terrain tyres are renowned for terrible wear if they are constantly used ONLY on road and never rotated. But in saying that, your UHP (ultra high performance) tyres are also important to keep rotated as they are often low profile and have a low treadwear rating meaning high comfort and grip levels but less life. Long story short, no matter what you drive - PLEASE ROTATE YOUR TYRES!
