Apparently it’s Friday tomorrow……will restart our old updates with pics and info of our weekly work with permission from the customers 👍

Don’t know where to start!
We have both been extremely busy trying to catch up on all the time we lost facing being homeless and without anywhere to run our business 😕

Plenty of work going on with our customers vehicles night/days/weekends etc. trying to catch up for lost time. 😒

This in NO WAY means that we are rushing jobs, taking shortcuts or lowering our standards!

It only means that we are working harder and more critical than ever to make sure that everything we touch is done to the very highest standard….. NEVER to time or budget restrictions 👌

Will be endeavouring to get back into the old Friday Update pics of our work each week where the customers allow 👍

The work has been insane in the sense that we had to hand many Hot Rods back to the owners knowing that we had the Waroona workshop sold out by the property owners from underneath us with very little warning 😡

We would never pull a customer’s Hot Rod apart knowing that we were facing a complete shutdown and shifting of our premises 😕

Rosco and I both put in the long hours to finish a few vehicles to the standards that we are renowned for, so as not to interrupt expected finish dates regardless of the sh*tfight that we were facing 😳

We both made the executive decision to send the vehicles back to their owners rather than tear them apart and not be able to guarantee where we were shifting to or giving any idea of timeframe before we might have been able to get back into the work required.

It’s not been easy, refusing any new customers since Nov 30th last year, having to not only find a new premises for the business, but also having to organise shifting house and moving both our children elsewhere to be able to continue schooling and living with relatives in different towns to make this happen 😢

We are in a good place now in Boddington, we have a great opportunity to really secure and expand our business, but unfortunately we are way behind with our current customers in regards to the timeframes that we had planned because of the 4-6 months that we had to devote towards finding a new workshop for our business, somewhere to live and alternative homes for our kids 😕

The sacrifices have been much larger for us both personally that we won’t mention on social media…… but there’s plenty more of our lives that had to be changed to make all of this happen.

We have came back working hard to try and resolve our backlog of work, and have been humbled by the support and understanding of our customers.

It’s certainly been an extremely stressful situation for the last 6 months, not just for Rosco and myself as business partners, but for all our children and family as well.

We will continue to provide the same old service and reputation that’s been solid for the last 30 years in this industry, and only hope to catch up on our backlog as fast as possible to be able to help out many more customers who are dealing with unscrupulous idiots in this industry 😡

Thank you all so much for understanding what we have had to deal with logistically, not only with our business, but our whole family situation as well.

We are both really excited with the opportunity that we have been given in Boddington, and are planning to actually purchase an amazing modern workshop here so that we never have to worry about getting screwed over from leasing property ever again! 😎👍

This is the biggest issue businesses have been facing across the board in the last 2 years, and unfortunately, we are experiencing the very same.
We have changed the way we book in jobs for the workshop to help speed up downtime waiting on parts.
Hopefully supply issues will ease over the next 12 months and be somewhat back to normal operating time frames.

Unfortunately at TRE we are facing the same issues these engine builders are. The high performance industry is putting us engine builders and parts retailers in a horrible position, being we are the middleman and do not manufacture these products.

We have had 20+ Callie’s cranks on order since September. All for pre sold jobs and the delivery date has been pushed back 4 months on us and it’s killing our production. All these long delivery dates make our customers think we are lying about their parts being ordered. it gets real old!! We just received a huge shipment of Dart iron blocks that have been on order for 11 months!! Yes that’s right. Brodix is quoting 16-20 weeks on most heads and blocks. Titanium valves 4-5 months, most piston companies are 4-6 months on customs, billet aluminum connecting rods are up to 5 months. Some of the Rob guys are not even taking orders as there is no material out there to be had to make rods out of. Don’t ask about headstuds ARP is six months behind, cannot find them period. The popular Edelbrock intake‘s we used for the big chief style BBC engines, have not been available in two years. and there’s way more problems than this, bearings, gaskets on and on…

I’m glad to see another engine builder expressing their concerns and headaches. Although we know oh so well it’s a horrible position to be in.

What these shortages have done is cost us the engine builders even more money, as we have to now order $100000s of additional inventory, pre-order the popular part numbers. To shorten delivery build times. The days of ordering cranks, blocks, rods etc. and the manufacturers having them in stock or shipping them within a week or two are gone. So the new normal is for us engine builders to invest huge money in inventory. Customers don’t do not want to wait these long delivery dates, they get frustrated and impatient.. very frustrating times in the high-performance industry!!

No sleep for months, our bodies feeling the strain, stress levels of logistics have been through the roof…..BUT, we are well on track into setting up a new Workshop with a very good future for the business 😎👍

18/05/2022

A quick update for all our loyal present and future customers.
We have just secured a new workshop and are working 24/7 to get everything shifted and be back up and running ASAP 👍
A massive thanks to everyone for your patience and understanding with having to suspend work, because of our current Workshop property being sold, so had to put all our efforts into finding and setting up a new premises.

Because of this huge disruption for our business, we immediately concentrated on the needs of our customers to be able to secure a new premises before taking on any more business.

Looking forward to to being back into full swing very soon!

Regards,
Bob, Rosco & Belinda.
