Shout out to all the METS athletes in the Surf Sports Program for getting up in the middle of winter, while it’s still dark, to hit the beach at the break of dawn! 🌊☀️
A big shout out to the coaches and parents too — your dedication and support definitely deserve some recognition! 😀

And there’s nothing quite like a BBQ between training sessions to refuel the body… not sure it’s in the nutrition manual, but it certainly seems to be working! 😂🔥🥩

Thanks to Trav for donning the QLD Paint Supplies, Sunshine Coast apron to help with the cooking.

A huge thank you to Cory, Candice and the team at Queensland Paint Supplies (Sunshine Coast) for looking after us today! 🎨⛵

Cory, a Navy veteran, and his wife Candice took over this long-standing local business last year.

We dropped in looking for advice and two-pack paint for some cosmetic repairs on Reel Therapy. I went in thinking we would need to roll or brush the paint on—but thanks to their awesome advice, they were able to supply the two-pack paint professionally packaged in a spray can, making the job much easier and helping us achieve a far better finish.

We got chatting about what Mate-Ship does for veterans, first responders and the wider community, and they generously offered their support to help us keep our vessels and equipment shining, protected and ready for many more wellness days on the water.

It is always especially meaningful to receive support from another veteran and a locally owned family business.

Thank you, Cory and Candice—we genuinely appreciate your advice, generosity and support of Mate-Ship. 💙⚓
