Is 24V really better than 12V? Not always. ⚡
For most caravan and 4WD setups, a well-designed 12V system can comfortably handle the essentials - lighting, refrigeration, water pumps, devices and occasional use of high-draw appliances.
A 24V system starts to make sense when you’re regularly running serious power through an inverter, especially multiple high-draw appliances at the same time. By drawing roughly half the current for the same power, 24V can mean smaller cables, less heat and a more efficient setup.
And 48V? For most recreational vehicles, the added complexity and limited component support may outweigh the benefits.
The right answer isn’t the highest voltage - it’s the system that suits how you actually travel.

A lot of people will probably think that going for a higher voltage set-up such as 24/48v over is 12v is going to be better. But, not necessarily. ⚡️

Jason goes deep into this topic explaining the reasons behind which set-up to go for. Check it out, there's loads of gold in there.🤴🏼

A “50A” Anderson-style connector can only carry 50 amps… right? Not quite.
The connector is only one part of the system. Safe current capacity also depends on cable size and length, voltage drop, contact and crimp quality, circuit protection, and installation conditions.
Swipe through to learn what the “50A” label means - and why every component must be properly matched to the job.

Is your solar setup not charging properly? ☀️🔋
The problem could be your connectors - not your solar panel.
Incorrectly installed, poorly crimped or mismatched MC4 connectors can significantly reduce solar performance. Using good-quality connectors and installing them correctly makes all the difference.
