Pretty cool to get a behind the scenes look at what goes into building a forged FA24.

Today Tyler from walked me through some of the critical measuring and machining processes that happen long before an engine ever sees final assembly. Every piston ring is individually filed and checked for the correct end gap, bearing clearances are measured and verified, rod and crank tolerances are inspected, and each component is measured multiple times to ensure everything falls within specification.

It’s the sort of work that most people never see, but it’s these small details that separate a reliable performance engine from one that becomes a problem later on.

A massive thank you to Tyler for giving up part of his day off to get the ball rolling on this build and for taking the time to explain the process along the way. His attention to detail and knowledge of the platform is second to none.

Seeing the pistons, rods, ACL bearings and freshly machined block all coming together makes it feel like this WTAC build is finally becoming a reality.

The road to WTAC continues. 🏁💪🔧

Big supporter announcement for Roman Motorsport ❤️🏁

This one means a lot because this isn’t just another sponsor announcement.

From day one, my biggest supporter has been my wife. Through the long nights, crazy ideas, race weekends, stress, and chasing a dream that sometimes probably looked impossible, she’s always been in my corner.

She’s also the hardest worker I know. The amount of time, effort and love she pours into everything she does honestly blows me away. No matter how tired she is, she always finds a way to keep pushing and make things happen for our family.

So being able to take Lil’s Roadside Bakery and put her brand on the car as we head towards the biggest Time Attack event in the wold is something pretty special.

Lil’s Roadside Bakery is built on passion, family, and quality. A small family run business creating homemade baked goods and home cooked quality meals made with care, because we believe good food should feel like home.

Everything we do, whether it’s racing or business, comes from the same place, hard work, passion, and family.

Pretty cool that something built around our kitchen table now gets to be part of the World Time Attack journey. We might not be the fastest team on the day. But I can guarantee we will be the best fed team in pit lane.

Thank you for believing in me from day one ❤️

If you were wondering whether a quick release bracket works on a turbo GR86/BRZ. here’s your answer. 👌

Finally got some time to work on the car this weekend and started addressing the rear end issues. We’ve swapped out the old arms for new pillow ball arms courtesy of ,and gone back to factory pickup points in the hope it settles the rear of the car down. 🤞

Huge shoutout to for letting us upcycle his old splitter tunnels. Super grateful for Dan’s help. Every dollar saved on this build is a win.

Now the question is… can we get a garage-built, 4 year old apprentice mechanic built BRZ into the 1:30s at Sydney Motorsport Park?

Feeling like we’re finally heading in the right direction. Bring on

This one’s a bit different. I wanted to start documenting the full journey behind the scenes. The highs, the setbacks, the late nights in the garage, the testing, the rebuilds and everything that goes into trying to build a car for .

It’s something out of my comfort zone but I looking forward to sharing our experiences in the future.😎😎

Side questing with another nip and tuck on fastback. Wheel arches cut to accommodate new wider rubber and an aggressive offset. Always tricky trying to get generic flares to fit without distorting the shape, but we did our best and happy with the result.

No more Bunnings hardware for us 😂😂. Excited to receive my BRZ/Gr86 chassis mounted quick release splitter mounts. We are working on a new composite splitter that will be half the weight of my old DIY splitter. Excited to reveal the finish product soon 💪💪💪

137 days to the and the engine bay gives you this look😳

This marks week one of the road to WTAC.

Last week was all about stepping back and building a proper plan. The biggest issue right now is rear end stability. It’s what’s making the car unpredictable, and it’s been chipping away at confidence and lap time. We’ve spent the time digging into it and we’re confident we’ve found the cause. There’s now a clear direction to fix it, and that’s already a big win.

From here, everything comes back to one thing reliability.

The FA24 has honestly been solid. Aside from a couple of electrical gremlins early on (self inflicted), it’s handled more track kilometres than road without missing a beat. It got a bad reputation early with the oil pressure talk, but this car hasn’t shown that side of it.

That said, we’re not leaving anything to chance.

The engine’s coming out for some proper TLC. Not chasing big numbers, just making sure it’s strong, consistent, and ready to handle what’s coming. A return fuel system is going in as part of that, and the whole package is being set up with reliability front of mind.

I was going to keep things quiet, but that’s not really how we’ve done this from the start. This whole build has been about showing the process, the wins, the setbacks, and everything in between. If someone picks up something useful from it, even better.

We’re a small team, but I genuinely believe we’re building the best version of this car we can. So excited to be working with and and grateful for their helping making my dream a reality. We got some work to do 💪💪

Happy to announce Prospeed Racing will be jumping on board with us for WTAC 2026 as offical parts partner.

We’ve had a solid rivalry with the Prospeed crew on track, but their commitment to motorsport, especially at a grassroots level, is exactly why we’re proud to be associated with them.

Not only for what they’ve done for the NSW scene, but also as one of the premier parts suppliers in the aftermarket. They’ve always been our go to, not just for our own car, but for customer builds as well.

The pitlane banter might be worth more than the parts though. The whole team are genuinely some of the best people in the game.

We might be battling it out on track, but it’s a good feeling knowing they’re in our corner.

We’ve got some exciting developments coming for the car with Prospeed involved, and we’re looking forward to what’s ahead… and a few laughs at WTAC.

PVS Performance Tuning will be coming on board as a major partner for WTAC 2026.

They’ve been part of this journey from day one, and the time, effort and belief they’ve put into this build and devolving my driving hasn’t gone unnoticed. I’m genuinely grateful to have them backing this event.

For WTAC, PVS will be overseeing both the car’s development and my driving, with Tyler working closely alongside me. He brings experience from V8 Supercars, production endurance racing, and the early days of WTAC, and is owner of one of the most experienced workshops in the country when it comes to the 86/BRZ platform.

More than that, the guys at PVS have become great friends both on and off the circuit, which makes this partnership mean even more.

We’re pushing myself and the car the next level with some of the best people in the industry, and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.

Massive thanks to Tyler, Kaz, Ryan, Jezz and Tee truly appreciate everything you guys have done and continue to do.
