We’re chasing a young, motivated Diesel Fitter or TA who’s not afraid of hard work and wants to build a career in the heavy diesel industry.

If you’ve got a can-do attitude, take pride in your work, and want hands-on experience across a serious fleet — this is for you.

The Work

You’ll be involved in general servicing, maintenance and repairs on:
• Kenworth prime movers
• Trailers & side tippers
• Caterpillar gear – dozers, rollers & graders

No two days are the same. It’s real work on real gear.

 Customer Complaint:
Grinding when shifting from low to high gear.

Diagnostics Performed:
• Checked and confirmed correct air supply.
• Verified proper operation of the range valve.

Findings:
• Removed and stripped the rear auxiliary (AUX) section of the gearbox from the vehicle.
• Disassembled the rear AUX section and inspected components.
• Found a severely worn synchronizer.
• Noted substantial wear on the gears.
• Bearings were also found to be worn.
• Rebuilt the rear auxiliary (AUX) section of the gearbox.
• Installed the rebuilt rear AUX section back onto the vehicle.
• Replaced the range valve.
• Replaced the air supply lines due to rubbed holes
• Fitted horton fan kit
• Carried out clutch adjustments
Test drove the vehicle to ensure proper operation.
