Windscreen wipers are really important to maintain clear visibility when driving in wet weather.

When they are not properly working, they can create a dangerous and unsafe driving experience.

Here are some signs that your windshield wipers need replacing:

* Streaking or hazing on the windscreen
* Screeching or chattering sound
*The rubber has split or pulled away from the wiper arm

For children, it is important to cross the road in a safe place where you are visible to other vehicles and to look left and right continuously as you cross.

As a driver you must slow down to 40km/h when passing a bus with the lights flashing yellow; be aware as there may be children crossing or about to cross the road.
