We have been doing some ongoing maintenance on the O’Malley Rally / Tumut Toyota, Toyota 86 rally car leading up to the Ada River round of the NSW and VIC rally championships.
One of the custom parts that needed replacement after nearly two years of rallying was the rear traction arms. The original arms were strengthened and had rubber protection fitted to protect the rear arms and discs. It's done its job well, taken a pounding but protecting everthing as designed.
The new arms now feature a spherical style front joint instead of the original rubber one. This is to allows for some extra movement with the longer suspension travel.
Typically these are combined with our aluminium backing plates.

Some more Datsun parts out the door this week.
A set of 180B/1600 adjustable LCA's featuring a chrome moly rosejoint and double adjuster. This allows the arm to be adjusted without removing the rose-joint from the camber pin. These ones were made with a 30mm extension as per customer requiremnets.
To add some adjustment to the rear end as well I modified a rear cross member with a Datsport adjuster kit fitted as well as some additional reinforcment along the bottom leading edge and at the outer bush mounts.
