This is something that i am truly excited about, the dream of having a 200+ RWKW NA FA24 is getting closer.
Gerry from Advanced Engine Performance has performed his magic on hand porting and modifying a set of FA24 heads so that they can then be digitised and a CNC program done. Soon we will have the first set of CNC race heads to suit the FA24 and I have a the first set of custom cams here ready to go with them.
The cylinder heads feature 1mm oversize custom exhaust valves, extensive inlet and exhaust porting all done with flow bench testing. The combustion chambers are also modified to help reduce knock and increase power.
The end goal is to able to offer a head and cam package for both NA race and FI applications. The first set will go on my FA24 swapped 2017 car for extensive dyno testing and then run at Subinats in October.
Full specs, flow numbers and pricing for these cylinder heads will be available in the coming months.

It's been a busy couple of weeks and one job that have had in is this built engine for this lucky customer.
This our street / mild track package with upgraded head studs.
This package consists of
* Block honed to size
* ACL race series main and conrod bearings
* New OEM pistons and rings gapped for FI.
* Supertech H beam forged conrods.
* Pistons and rods are balanced in house.
* All bearing clearances check before assembly.
* ARP CA 625+ head studs ( optional ) normally ARP 2000 head studs.
* Cometic or HKS head gaskets ( depends on availability )
* Reconditioned cylinder heads with new valve stem seals and GSC Beehive valve springs.
* New timing chains and guides
* Camshaft variators are dismantled and cleaned
* Camshafts are checked for straightness and journals micro polished.
* Valve clearances are all set to our spec.
* OEM gaskets and o-rings used throughout.
* HKS Spark plugs
* This engine was also optioned with a Killer Bee oil pick up.
One place that we do differ to many is that we use 5W-30 Joe Gibbs Driven run in oil as all other run in oils are a higher weight than what we like to use on a new engine with tight clearances.
This combination is capable of running 16 - 18psi reliably for mild track use and even more for street use. These are also a great combo for people who want a daily driver that will do bulk klms without the worry of forge pistons wearing and rattling over time.

Now for a few thousand km of running in and then back on the dyno to max the current G25-550.
Pricing for these starts at $12,500 depending on options.

Getting ready for the first test day of the year, I have just had a new turbo manifold made, thanks to Scott.
We have been have issues with cracking the manifold ever since we swithced to the larger frame G30-770 so i bit the bullet and completely changed the mounting system and then had a new stainless steam pipe manifold made.
This is still the FA20 as we haven't finished with it yet and the FA24 isn't going to be ready until mid year for Austimeattack.

Upgrades for this year include changing shocks.
I am 100% a fan of the MCA reds that have served me well for many years and we fit them to all of our racecar builds but I had these come up at the right price and they give me 3 way adjustment over just single with the old ones.
More changes are coming soon so watch this space.

So I took project 24 out to TimeAttack.com.au this afternoon at Queensland Raceway for the last round of the year and Troy took the new JS.V2. Gen 2 BRZ out for its first run also. Both cars have stock suspension and stock rims with 225 Dunlop Direzza tyres. Troy's Gen 2 did have STI front brakes where mine has stock brakes with just Winmax W3 pads and Motul brake fluid. Both cars are running SME 4-2-1 race headers on E85 and my tune.
The result was we were both within a couple tenths of each other on the 2 track layouts and Troy did a 59.8 on Sprint and I did a 60.1 this is a great result for 2 cars on their first runs at QR.
Bring on 2026.
FA24's going to the track, turning right, not blowing up and going fast.

What a fantastic result from the GR86!
We fitted a SME G30-660 Turbo kit to this 2025 GR86 Auto with one of our custom oil cooler kits and wow! 270 RWKW on just 9psi boost and E85. This cars base line run stock on 98 was 119 RWKW that is a 127% increase from stock.
Needless to say this is a different car now, luckily it already has the PP brake kit fitted now for some decent rubber to use all of that power.
