Have you ever seen a starter motor fault be the cause of an alternator charging problem? You have now! Loose battery cable lug on starter motor, creating a bad connection, a lot of heat, and over 2 volts of voltage drop between the alternator and the battery.

This one had me thinking! 2017 Holden Trailblazer. No tail light, left or right indicator feed to factory trailer base. Brake light feed, and earth ok. Trailer base and wiring in good condition. Trailer control module inputs and outputs all ok. Found pictured factory 14 pin connector plug in the engine bay under the ECU with only three wires in it was open circuit. All 3 terminals (tail, left and right indicator) had all backed out of the housing. Plug couldn't be fixed so cut it out and hard-wired it. Test - ok! 👍

2005 BA Ford Falcon wagon had the ABS warning light coming on. Fault code C1175 present - Left rear wheel speed input circuit failure. Found the problem - one of the terminals had backed out of the connector plug to the LHR wheel speed sensor, which is under the back seat. Repair connector, clear codes, and test - all good 👍
