We have a favourite. No prizes for guessing who. 😉

Our CEO, Colette Kirby, is one of four finalists for the 2026 Barbara Cox Woman of the Year Award, and we're pretty proud of her! 🙌

She's in some seriously impressive company, too. Monica Monteleone, Katherine Anderson and Caitlyn Hayes each have quite a story to tell, and they're well worth a read in the post below.

The winner will be announced at the Women in Automotive luncheon this Friday, 16 October.

We'll be cheering for Colette. But with four women like this in the running, we wouldn't want the judges' job!

🔧 Ever tried clearing fault codes on a newer VW and hit a roadblock? That's the Secure Gateway dilemma!

At the Adrad conferences in Sydney, this was the hot topic. For newer VW Group cars, what's locked can vary; sometimes it's those pesky fault codes or even putting the electronic park brake into service mode mid-repair.

The car itself isn’t broken; it just won’t listen to an unlicensed tool. As more cars exit warranty and enter independent workshops, this issue is becoming more common.

Apparently speed dating works for diagnostic tools too. 🚗

Matt from our sales team spent today at the ADRAD Sales Conference in Sydney, where a new group of branch managers and sales staff swapped onto the Logicar table every few minutes. With that little time, he skipped the spec sheet and put the Thinkcar Global Expert 394 straight to work.

No long presentation. No stack of brochures.

Ever measured a bay after the hoist turned up, rather than before? 😬

We had about 22 installers at Logicar HQ last week, two days on the Heshbon range with Frank from Heshbon's international team, a Heshbon engineer in from Korea, and our own Tim Fisher running the show. Mostly the HL26, with the tyre and wheel gear getting a proper go too.

The bit we'd hand to any workshop is simple. The hoist arrives as a fixed spec. Your bay doesn't. So before you call, know what you're lifting, how high the ceiling is, where the power sits and what you know about your slab. 🔧

Sort that and install day is just install day.
