Your engine light is on, but the car still drives fine. It can be easy to leave it another week.

On a European car, that light is often the first sign of something small that is simpler to fix when it is caught early. At K&G, our diagnostic equipment reads what your car is reporting, and we explain what we find before any work begins.

Have you noticed any warning lights in your car? Book a diagnostic check with K&G today.

Your warning light comes on. A code reader gets plugged in, a part is replaced, and a week later the light is back.

It isn't because anyone was careless. A fault code tells you which system noticed a problem. It doesn't tell you why. On a European engine, one misfire code can come from a spark plug, an ignition coil, an injector, a wiring fault or an air leak. Replace the wrong one and you've paid for a part without fixing the problem.

Diagnosis is the step between the code and the repair. At K&G, we test, confirm the cause, then call you to explain what we found and what it will take, before any work begins.

Has a warning light ever come back on you after a repair? Tell us what it was in the comments.

The owner was experiencing an intermittent issue that couldn't be consistently replicated. Rather than guessing or replacing parts unnecessarily, our team followed a structured diagnostic process to identify the root cause.

Advanced diagnostics aren't about finding more problems, they're about finding the 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺. That's how we help customers make informed decisions about their vehicles. Have you ever had a fault that took weeks to diagnose?

Before any repair starts, you're entitled to clear answers. These are the four questions we answer on every job at K&G.

We test and confirm the fault before recommending any work. Then we call you, explain what we found in plain language, and only go ahead once you've approved it. No surprises, only honest advice and quality servicing.

Save this post for the next time your car is booked in!

A slow start to cooling, a strange smell when it first kicks in, or air that never quite gets cold are all signs worth checking in your car before the heat properly arrives.

European air conditioning systems can be more complex than they look, so a quick check now beats finding out the hard way on a 35 degree day. At K&G, we explain exactly what we find, in plain language, what needs attention now and what can wait, so you can make the call with the full picture.

For many businesses, a van is more than just a vehicle. It’s part of the job. When it’s off the road, work can slow down quickly. Regular servicing helps identify wear early and keeps key systems working reliably.

At K&G Automotive, we service Mercedes and Volkswagen commercial vans used by local businesses across Brisbane. Our focus is on practical, dependable servicing so your vehicle can keep doing what it was built to do.

𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲.

For European vehicles, proper servicing means using the right processes, diagnostic checks and quality components, not rushing the job.

That's where advanced diagnostics matter. Our team takes the time to actually find the root cause, not just clear the code and hope it does not come back. That is dealer level capability, without dealer pricing.
