We are thrilled to announce Sam Jalalabadi from Daimler Trucks Laverton took 2nd Place for the Freightliner Technician of the Year 2026

After two days of intensive practical hands-on evaluations and theory-based assessments, the top six finalists showcased exceptional technical expertise, real-world diagnostic challenges, product knowledge and professionalism.

By reaching the finals and delivering such impressive performance, Sam showcased the dedication, skill, and commitment to excellence that define our team.

Daimler Truck Australia Pacific Vice President of Service, Product, VPC and Elite, Stephen Downes, says the capability on display was exceptional.

“Truck technicians are absolutely critical to success of our customers, so it is important that we identify and celebrate the best of the best,” Mr Downes says.
