🔥 TOWNSVILLE KART CLUB – 2026 RACE CALENDAR RELEASED! 🔥

Strap in, team — next year is shaping up to be one of the biggest, boldest and most action-packed seasons we’ve ever hosted!

We launch the year with the fan-favourite Australia Day Cup, the perfect way to fire up the engines for a massive season ahead. 🏁

From there, drivers will battle it out across six Club Championship Rounds, plus a dedicated AKC Shakedown Meeting (planned as a two-day hit-out!) to get everyone dialled before the national spotlight returns to Townsville.

And speaking of national spotlight…
Round 3 of the Australian Kart Championship is coming to Townsville in July!

This is a truly special moment for our club. We haven’t held a national-level event since hosting the one-off Australian Sprint Kart Championship over Easter in 2009. To welcome Australia’s premier multi-round championship to our circuit for the very first time is an incredible milestone for our region and our next generation of racers. 🌟

We wrap up the season with our legendary End-of-Year Fun Day, bringing the whole community together for one last dose of racing fun.

🏆 2026 NQ SERIES – DATES ANNOUNCED!

The 2026 NQ Series is set to be huge — bigger grids, bigger energy, and a massive opportunity for drivers across the North to battle it out on three iconic circuits.

Round 1 – Whitsundays Whitsunday Moto Sports Club - Karting
📅 Saturday 18th April

Round 2 – Cairns Kart Racing Club Inc (Mako Track, Mareeba)
📅 Saturday 13th June

Final Round – Townsville Kart Club
📅 Saturday 31st October

🛠️ WORKING BEE WEEKEND 2 DAYS
18th & 19th OCTOBER! 🛠️

Hey everyone! We’re having a working bee at the track on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th October to complete fencing repairs and the usual facility maintenance.

⚠️ TRACK CLOSURE: The track will be closed from 5pm Thursday 16th of October and will remain closed until all the fencing work is finished. If plenty of members turn up, we are confident that everything will get done in time for Round 2 of the NQ Series ⚠️

We’d love to see as many members as possible come down to help out — many hands make light work! 💪
Bring your gloves, tools and enthusiasm to get the place looking awesome again!

If you can’t make Saturday 18th because you’re racing in Proserpine or Cairns, that’s okay…we’ve got you covered so you can come along on Sunday!
