Taylors. Smash Repairs

13/08/2026

A review like Mick's gives the whole team a lift.

He came in braced for another grumpy crash repairer, going off a few he'd dealt with before. Glad we changed his mind. Thanks, Mick.

After an accident, everything can move quickly. You make the claim, and it can sound like it's all been arranged for you, including who repairs your car.

Here's the part that often gets missed. In most cases, choosing your repairer is your decision, not one made for you.

You can ask for Taylors. We'll take care of the assessment, walk you through what happens next, and keep you updated from start to finish.

It's your car. You get a say in who looks after it.

Some repairs don't need any parts ordered. A dent, a scratch, a panel that needs refinishing. Those are the ones we can get straight onto.

Through August, if your car needs work that doesn't rely on ordered parts, we'll have it started within a day or two of you giving us the go-ahead. No sitting in a queue for weeks.

Here's one that came through the workshop recently. Before and after, no parts required.

We've got room in the August schedule. If you've been putting a repair off, now's a good time to get it seen.

Reviews like this one stay with us.

Claire came in after a run-in with a wallaby and afterwards took the time to leave some really kind words about her experience. She even ended it with "Take me to Taylor's!"

Thank you, Claire. It means a lot that you felt well looked after, and we hope the wallaby came off okay too.

Locally owned smash repairers in Garbutt, Townsville. We provide clear, obligation-free repair quotes and quality workmanship, whether repairing privately or through insurance. Walk-in quotes are welcome.

We've been fixing Townsville's cars for a long time now. Through the wet seasons, the dry, and everything the road throws at them.

This is us. Same shop, same faces, same corner of town. When you bring your car here you're not dealing with a call centre or a name on a list. You're dealing with people who live here, whose kids go to school here, and who'll still be here the next time you need us.

Townsville looks after its own. So do we.

After an accident, things move fast. You make the call to your insurer, and before long they're telling you where your car is headed. It can sound like the decision has already been made.
Here's the part that often gets missed. In most cases, the repairer is your choice. You can ask for your car to come to Taylors, and we'll take it from there.
We'll walk you through what happens next and keep you in the loop the whole way. No pressure, no jargon. Just a straight answer and a car put right.
Take me to Taylors.

A proper smash repair is a lot more than a fresh coat of paint.
On any given day the workshop looks like this. Panels off, bonnets up, jobs at every stage. Some cars need a bumper. Others need pulling straight before they go anywhere near the paint booth. Every one gets the same thing: a proper look at what's actually wrong, the right method to fix it, and people who care whether it's done well.
It isn't glamorous work. It's careful work. That's how a car leaves looking like nothing ever happened.
