Looking into the future, the RYDER name has now moved to Townsville to further expand their business and trademark. Like the bush telegraph in the west, word travels fast and more business opportunities have developed from the coast. Combined they have over 40 years experience in the field, and a passion to keep the “Ryder” trade mark 'top of mind' for the next 40 years. No longer only building tray bodies for four wheel drives, Rydweld has expanded to include bull bars, mine spec vehicles, as well as other specialised accessories such as trailers and truck tippers. They are a team that focus on 'what the customer wants,' so until you ask, you won't know what we're capable of!

About the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on and enthusiastic Apprentice Boilermaker to join our team, specialising in motor body accessory fabrication. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop skills in a specialised trade area, working on products such as bull bars, roof racks, trays, canopies, cattle crates, trailers, toolboxes, and custom vehicle fit-outs.

What You’ll Learn:
• Fabricating, assembling, and welding aluminium and steel motor body accessories
• Interpreting technical drawings and measurements with precision
• Operating hand tools, welders, and machinery used in automotive fabrication
• Finishing fabricated components to a high-quality finish
• Working to safety and quality standards

Ideal Candidate:
• Eager to learn and committed to completing a 3–4-year apprenticeship
• Attention to detail and a “can-do” attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team
• Manual Driver’s licence
