🚫 E10 Fuel, don’t do it! If you think it’s the cheaper option then have a read to understand how it actually works ⬇️ 🚫

E10 Fuel vs Unleaded 95, 98 ⛽

Will I save money using E10 fuel? 💰

Although E10 is the cheapest, the price difference between the fuels at the bowser doesn't translate into hip pocket savings because Ethanol (E10) has less energy per litre than petrol, meaning you need to use more of it to achieve the same outcome.

The reason E10 burns quicker than premium fuels is due to the higher octane rating of premium fuel (Unleaded 98) compared to E10 (Unleaded 91/94). So, in simple terms, the higher the number the more efficient the fuel burns.

We always reccomend NOT using E10, especially in older cars that have not been designed to run on E10 as the ethanol can cause damage to the Catalytic Converters in the exhaust system, damage to fuel lines and other parts of the fuel system, leading to longer term problems.

Pictured below is a failed Oxygen Sensor which is located below the Cat Converter in the exhaust system.
