2026 Variety Bash itinerary has been released. For those people who know North Queensland, you know that while we may not know the exact route, this is one adventure that is sure to take us to some of the prettiest parts of outback Queensland. I can't wait to get the Stang back on some of these roads. Watch out for our fundraising and sponsorship opportunities in the new year. For this week’s , meet Chloe – a bright, determined 14-year-old chasing big dreams in swimming and triathlon with support from her Variety Heart Scholarship.

When Chloe’s mum, Emma, sent through a photo of her beaming with pride, she wrote: “Thank you very much for giving this opportunity to Chloe. This is going to make a huge difference.”

Chloe’s journey has been anything but simple. At two, she was treated for cancer, and the therapy that saved her life left her with long-term challenges – from neuropathy to restricted movement in her ankles. She learned to walk again step by step, powered by the same grit she brings to every race.

Her spirit has only grown stronger. Since being classified as a multiclass swimmer this year, her confidence has soared. She’s now aiming for age-group nationals, open nationals in Melbourne, and the Queensland Schools state triathlon championships.

Her scholarship is helping her access essentials like a proper racing bike, a new race suit, and support to travel and compete – taking pressure off her family and opening doors to opportunities she’s worked so hard for.

Your generosity makes stories like Chloe’s possible. Together, we’re backing kids to chase their goals and live life on their own terms – and that’s real magic!

We are home. Raglan pub last night due to issues with the headlights only going to low beam. Hit Townsville at 3 pm on the dot. The car is in one piece but it looks like I may have warped a brake rotor. They were getting thin anyway.....

An amazing effort from the 2024 Variety Bash fundraisers to help out Kids across the state. Thanks to everyone who helped our team reach our goal. Townsville Chiefs MRLC , Gedoun Property Group and Master Plumbers Association for their contributions. We are getting a wheel bearing repair at Gold Coast before we hit the road back to Townsville.

Last day of the 2024 Bash. We missed out on rooms at SeaWorld so we had to find somewhere else. Meriton for the same price but we had to pay for parking. Worth it, I reckon....oh yeah, don't forget to come and see us if you missed out on your passport stamp at lunch.
