🚗❄️ Another happy customer back on the road with cold A/C!

Judith’s Kia Sportage came to me with an A/C system that wasn’t cooling properly. After carrying out a full diagnosis, I found the compressor had failed.

✅ Replaced the A/C compressor
✅ Vacuum tested and re-gassed the system to specification
✅ Confirmed everything was working perfectly before handing the vehicle back

❄️ Over 12 months without cold A/C… but not anymore!

This Ford Ranger owner had been driving without air conditioning for over a year. The vehicle had been inspected by a couple of other repair shops, but the fault couldn’t be resolved.

After carrying out a thorough diagnosis, we found the evaporator temperature sensor had failed. Because the dashboard had to be removed to access the sensor, we recommended replacing the evaporator and TX valve at the same time to help prevent future issues and save on labour down the track.

✅ Complete diagnosis
✅ Dashboard removed
✅ New evaporator fitted
✅ New TX valve installed
✅ New evaporator temperature sensor
✅ System vacuum tested and recharged to factory specification
✅ Ice-cold A/C restored

❄️ Another happy customer and another ice-cold A/C! 🚗
This job was a little more special than most.
My customer travels from Charters Towers to Townsville every day for work—around 45 minutes each way—and with kids to look after, being without a car wasn’t really an option.
She had only owned this Kia Seltos for a week. The A/C had been regassed before the vehicle was sold, but unfortunately it stopped working shortly afterwards.
After carrying out a full diagnosis, I found the actual problem was a faulty evaporator temperature sensor. I organised the repair around her work schedule, completed everything while she was at work, and made sure the car was ready before she finished for the day so she could head back home to Charters Towers without any delays.
Seeing the smile on her face when she felt the ice-cold A/C made the day worth it. 😊

❄️ Intermittent A/C Fault Fixed – Nissan X-Trail ❄️

This Nissan X-Trail came to me after the air conditioning had been regassed elsewhere, but the intermittent cooling issue was still present.

After carrying out a proper diagnosis, I found the real cause of the problem:

🔍 Faults Found
✅ TX (Expansion) Valve malfunctioning
✅ Leaking O-ring at the low-pressure pipe connection
✅ Refrigerant leak causing loss of system performance

🔧 Repairs Performed
• Replaced TX Valve
• Replaced leaking O-rings
• Removed engine mount to gain access for repairs
• Vacuum tested system
• Recharged A/C system to manufacturer specifications
• Performed final performance testing

Cold air restored and the system is now operating correctly. 💨❄️

The customer was very happy with the diagnosis, repair quality, pricing, and detailed explanation of the fault. He’s already planning to book in his second vehicle for mechanical diagnosis and repairs.
