This is a giant shoutout to CB Rural Services, i rang Cieron at 6pm on saturday from georgetown, a 6 hour drive from Townsville and told him about our problem. A rock went through the radiator as soon as we got to our emergency job. We would have been stranded until monday, minimum. Cieron got a new radiator for the truck that night and drove from Townsville and arrived at 2am and started working on putting the new radiator in and had us running by 7am, this bloke worked all the way through the night to get us going. He is an absolute legend and dedicated to his work. I cannot recommend Cieron enough hes a top notch Deisel mechanic đź‘Śđź‘Śđź‘Ś

Too much weight on the tow ball

That’s what the owner of this Sportsman on a Savage trailer was feeling every time he hooked up.

We measured it up and moved the whole suspension 125mm forward. That shift dropped the ball weight to where it needed to be.
While it was in bits we didn’t just put the same gear back on.

• New 1600kg pair of leaf springs (the old pack was well and truly cooked)
• Hollow axles replaced with 50x50 solid square
• New brake calipers and pads
• New hubs and bearings

Trailer now sits right, brakes properly, and won’t have the front of the tow vehicle squatting on the way to the ramp.

Spongy brakes aren’t always just a bleed.

This Isuzu NPR came in with spongy brakes and front suspension concerns. Once we had it up and the wheels off, the real issues showed up.

Rear wheel bearings worn out. One seized to the stub axle from heat. Three of four wheel cylinders leaking. Brake shoes cracked and glazed. Front springs and shocks also due.

All replaced on site — rear bearings, wheel cylinders, shoes, front springs, shocks and bushes. Brakes bled, adjusted and test driven. Working as they should.

That’s the difference with a mobile diesel mechanic who actually inspects the job, not just the symptom.

Another solid day out on the tools

Completed a full 2000 hour service on a Kubota U55-4 and a 250 hour service on a Case TR340B today.

Both machines looked after properly — oils, filters, undercarriage, greasing and full checks done.

Another 79 Series sorted and back on the road & ready to tow the boat that belongs behind it!

This Cruiser came in sitting low in the rear and the suspension was well past its best. After years of carrying weight, the factory setup had sagged badly and wasn’t doing the job anymore.

Today we fitted:
• New heavy-duty rear leaf springs
• New front coil springs
• AK Engineering Welding & Fabrication repaired the remote reservoir mounts
• Replaced worn suspension bushes

The difference speaks for itself. The vehicle is now sitting level again, rides better, and is ready to handle the weight it was built to carry or the boat it was made to tow!
