Well charters skidfest is done and dusted for 2026.
BAWEAR come out hard charging in the first round and showed that the wagon is spot on with the setup even with 3rd gear only we were very impressed with how easy it turned them from a standstill. Daniel unfortunately couldn’t drive so he had the throw the keys to his brother and with a few encouraging words and tips from Bman the steered that wagon beautifully and that he did all the way to a 3rd place podium at his very first skid comp with a car that’s not his. Bloody great effort lads
JACK-POT had a it of a time trying to get the fg to do what he wanted but once he was onto the pad the fg started waking up and screamed. Also a new comer to the pad and a very new car and build it was all still fresh. None the less he knows what he needs to do and some small upgrades like a set of better diff gears and a properly working brakes he will be ready to rip rubber from the earth.
ONLYL67 gave us drama after drama. Been chasing an issue with car for ages only to find coolant temp sensor had popped the connectors from the plug so thus making the thing run rich as anything and because we tuned it many years ago it’s always had a very rich fuel table so the extra fueling didn’t help. Managed to get it sorted and running 100% for it to s**t a headgasket the moment it hit 1st gear limiter and seen 10psi of boost. Next round we put 2 500ml of chemi weld in it to try seal the headgasket for 1 more skid it lasted approximately 40sec before it blew the headgasket again. Now we know with a set of gaskets and some love the vx l67 will be back and Jaydin sure as hell will be winding up the Barra boys
CLUELESS as always was flawless screaming on song not worry. Kayla as normal full of nerves but we love her like that because she drives at a comp level with the nerves of kid starting school for the first time 🤣. Kayla had a ripper comp but judging knocked her back from a podium but we love charters not for the comp side but the atmosphere.
As always was a great time watching the cars tearing it up having a blast and driving on the trailers under there own power 😎
