2006 HOLDEN VE CALAIS V
THE STORY
Launched in 2006, the Holden VE Calais set a new standard for Australian luxury sedans. Combining cutting-edge technology, refined style, and strong performance, it quickly became the flagship of the VE range.
The Calais featured a bold, sleek design with a striking front grille, smooth lines, and chrome accents, giving it a commanding yet elegant presence. Inside it offered a premium experience with leather seating, a woodgrain trim, and a state-of-the-art infotainment system - all focused on driver and passenger comfort.
Under the hood, the VE Calais offered a choice of engines, including a 3.6L V6 and the powerful 6.0L V8 in the Calais V, delivering both performance and smooth ride quality. The suspension and handling were finely tuned for a balance of comfort and agility on the road.

THE CAR
Presenting in Granite Grey, this customised VE Calais V Series 4 is one unique Commodore.
Under the hood is the highly desirable 6.0L V8 engine with 340kW at the wheels thanks to a hot Texas Inc LSA 114 Billet camshaft with intake 225 and exhaust 236 and runs a VCM performance OTR intake manifold. The car also has 3” Hi-Flow catalytic converters.
The transmission is a 6L80E Billet Stage 4 Hi-Performance Auto, reinforced and rated to 1,000 HP with a 3500 Hi-Stall converter including Billet shafts and Keyhole and Red Eagle components.
The car sits low on stylish 20” King Alloy wheels and is a smooth ride with the inclusion of SSSL King Springs and a 3.9 gear racing shift kit for the automatic transmission.
On the inside the interior is one-of-a-kind. The car boasts a fully customised Butterscotch Alcantara diamond-quilted cabin that was hand crafted by BNB Autohaus. The treatment extends to the dash, steering wheel, gear k**b and headlining and the Holden Lion adorns the headrests.
Other features include a factory electric glass sunroof, power windows, electric seats (the driver’s seat has a memory function), dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth, a remote boot/hatch release and a multi-function display.
An aftermarket Fusion Marine sound system has been installed as well with dual subwoofers in the boot.
The car is clean throughout and one unique, tough Holden.
