FOR SALE.....
1970 MERCURY COUGAR XR-7 CONVERTIBLE

THE STORY
Unveiled at the height of Detroit’s muscle-car era, the 1970 Mercury Cougar XR-7 convertible represented Mercury’s vision of a more refined, upscale performance car — an elegant counterpart to the Mustang, with a distinctly luxurious identity. Positioned as the flagship of the Cougar lineup, the XR-7 blended European-inspired styling cues with American V8 power, capturing a unique balance of comfort and raw capability.

Under the long, sculpted bonnet lived a range of powerful Ford V8 engines, with the most common being the 351 Windsor and 351 Cleveland small-blocks, both offering smooth and generous torque ideal for open-top cruising. Paired with either a three-speed automatic or a four-speed manual transmission, the Cougar delivered strong straight-line performance while maintaining the composed road manners that defined the Mercury brand. Optional Traction-Lok differentials and upgraded suspension components further sharpened its handling without compromising its comfortable ride.

With production numbers relatively low for convertibles, the 1970 XR-7 stands today as one of Mercury’s most desirable classics. It represents a moment when style, comfort and performance converged into a single expression of grand touring. More than fifty years later, the XR-7 convertible remains a celebrated symbol of Mercury’s golden era.

THE CAR
What started life as a stock 1970 Mercury Cougar XR-7 convertible has been transformed into a tough resto-mod XR-7 that would not look out of place on the set of Mad Max.

Finished in Black with a Dark Ivy green interior, she features XR-7 woodgrain accents and blacked out chrome all over.

Under the hood sits a Ford 351ci V8 with 2V heads, an alloy radiator and intake, and a Holley EFI Sniper conversion. The FMX automatic transmission has been rebuilt, and she sports an 8 ¾ inch Ford Mustang differential. Stopping power comes from a 6-piston Willwood disc brake conversion with drilled rotors, and red brake calipers all round compliment the 20" custom black KMC alloy wheels she sits on.

The front and rear end have been lowered, the car has been converted to RHD and features power steering.

On the inside a fully customisable LCD touch screen sits in place where the original gauge cluster sat. The original gauge cluster and intake manifold are sold with the vehicle.

Photos of the vehicle restoration are on file.

A power convertible in excellent condition, this is one fantastic and tough-looking cruiser.

Previously registered in VIC and NSW.

FOR SALE.....
1995 MG RV8 ROADSTER

THE STORY
This limited production sports car is the last totally British MG before the brand was sold to BMW. Around 2,000 units were produced between 1992 and 1995 and most of these were sent to Japan.

In the early 1990’s the MG brand was owned by the Rover Group (British Aerospace) who set about adding some grunt to the traditional MG roadster.

They installed a fuel injected, 3.9 litre Rover V8 engine in the 2-seater sports car which produced 185bhp of power and 318 Nm of torque delivered to the rear wheels. The exhaust note was delightful.

With a five-speed manual gearbox, the car had a claimed acceleration of 0-100kmph in 6.4 seconds and a top speed of 230kmph.

The car was much more luxurious and expensive than any of its predecessors with sumptuous magnolia Connolly leather seats, Burr Elm woodwork, thick pile carpet, air conditioning and larger cast spoke alloy wheels.

Other features included zinc coated body panels, a fully carpeted electric boot, ergonomically designed cockpit, remote immobiliser, alarmed doors, bonnet, boot and volumetric sensor.

THE CAR
This car was imported from Japan and upgraded by the MG Workshop in Sydney to comply with Australian design rules.

Finished in Woodcote Metallic Green which is offset by a beautiful Cream Connolly leather interior. The black soft top is in fantastic condition and one person can easily operate it.

It has been owner by an elderly gentleman for the last 20 years and shows 26,100 kms on the odometer.

The car starts easily and pulls hard thanks to the 3.9 litre V8 engine that puts out a fantastic V8 exhaust note. In typical MG fashion, this is a true driver’s car that handles well and has good brakes.

The paint, interior, wheels, engine bay and boot are all in great condition. There are a couple of dimples that could benefit from PDR treatment.

New bump stops and boot gas struts have recently been fitted.

A fun driver’s car that gives excellent feedback and is a blast to push into corners as well as boot along the open road.

The transmission is a 6L80E Billet Stage 4 Hi-Performance Auto, reinforced and rated to 1,000 HP with a 3500 Hi-Stall converter including Billet shafts and Keyhole and Red Eagle components.

The car sits low on stylish 20” King Alloy wheels and is a smooth ride with the inclusion of SSSL King Springs and a 3.9 gear racing shift kit for the automatic transmission.

On the inside the interior is one-of-a-kind. The car boasts a fully customised Butterscotch Alcantara diamond-quilted cabin that was hand crafted by BNB Autohaus. The treatment extends to the dash, steering wheel, gear k**b and headlining and the Holden Lion adorns the headrests.

2005 PORSCHE 911 (997) CARRERA S

THE STORY
Launched in 2004 for the 2005 model year, the Porsche 911 (997) Carrera S marked a triumphant evolution of the iconic 911 lineage. Representing Porsche’s renewed focus on blending timeless design with modern engineering, the 997 ushered in a return to classic styling cues while delivering the most refined everyday performance experience yet seen in a naturally aspirated 911. It quickly became the enthusiast’s sweet spot—balancing precision and comfort.

Under the rear deck lay a 3.8L flat-six engine, the largest and most potent naturally aspirated unit ever fitted to a base-range 911 at the time. Producing 261 kW (355 hp) and 400 Nm of torque, the engine was paired with either a crisp six-speed manual transmission or an optional five-speed Tiptronic S automatic. Porsche’s PASM adaptive suspension, paired with larger S-specific brakes and a standard limited-slip differential provided sharp and communicative handling, equally at home on a winding mountain pass as it was cruising the highway.

As part of a generation celebrated for returning the 911 to its classic aesthetic roots while embracing new-era performance and technology, the 2005 997 Carrera S helped cement Porsche’s reputation for building everyday sports cars without compromise.

THE CAR
Finished in Seal Grey with a black leather interior, this gorgeous 2005 Porsche 911 (997) Carrera S is has only travelled 87,300 km, with only 4000 km driven in the 6 years of current ownership.

A three-owner car, a doctor in Sydney was the original owner, and the second owner was Kevin Kenny Tyres in SA.

Last serviced by RSR Sports Cars - service included an oil change, new front discs, pads and sensors, a new water pump, new coolant, new bump stops and air filter, and the steering rack was removed and reconditioned.

The 3.8L flat-six engine is strong and puts power to the road via a smooth 5-speed Tiptronic S automatic gearbox. The Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system coupled with features like sports mode, flappy paddles and an automatic spoiler make handling a dream.

Additional features include a Porsche CD stacker, bi-xenon headlights, a sports chrono package, a sunroof, 3M paint protection, satellite navigation and Michelin Pivot tyres.

The vehicle has two keys, a new battery has been installed, and a genuine Porsche soft car cover with emblem is supplied as well.
