ASSISTANT PRODUCTION MANAGER position

We are seeking a qualified and experienced person to join our committed team. Terry Wilkie Smash Repairs is a respected family business which has been operating in Toowoomba since 1965, and we have achieved this through our commitment to quality workmanship and attentive customer service.

This position has been created to assist our Production Manager in ensuring work contracts are kept on schedule, that all work has been performed in accordance with the job card and vehicle manufacturers standards, and completed in the designated timeframe and delivered to the customer with high quality repairs.

POSITION INFORMATION
Working Hours 7AM – 5PM Mon – Thurs (4 day working week)
Salary Negotiable on Experience

EXPERIENCE SHOULD INCLUDE
• Trade background in either in panel or paint (or both)
• Understanding the importance of good communication skills and be able to liaise with customers and insurance representatives in a courteous, professional manner – both in person and via telephone discussion

JOB DETAILS
• Organise sublet contracts within time restraints and booking appointments which would include the following:-

4WD accessories including bullbars and associated parts
Mechanical repairs, wheel alignments and tyres
Computer and scanning of vehicle systems
Dealer communication with faults
Signwriting and decal kits
Windscreens and glass work required
Trays and accessories
Alloy rim repairs
Powdercoating and sandblasting jobs
Any other subcontractor required to complete repairs associated with accident repairs

• Liaise with trade staff over methods of repair and supplementary work
• Be able to time manage jobs and subcontractors to keep work contracts flowing
• Ability to carry out precise intensive quality inspections to ensure Job Card has been followed correctly, that all work has been completed and detect any faults or failures in repairs, paint and fit up.
• Liaise and organise rectifications with trade staff for jobs not passing quality inspection
• Precisely photograph all damage repaired and ensure vehicle has been cleaned to customer expectations
• Some ordering of required parts for booked work contracts
• Be able to work in a team environment and follow instructions from the Production Manager and higher management
• Willing to work outside normal office and lunch breaks (if required) to ensure work contracts are kept on schedule
• Hold regular Production Meetings with office staff and management either with or on behalf of Production Manager, to provide updates on job progression
• Organising transport (and towing if required) of vehicles to be moved to and from subcontractor premises
• Data entry and note recording on insurance portals for future reference (training will be available for software systems used on site)
• Current Drivers Licence and ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles

SKILLS AND INFORMATION:
The successful candidate must be familiar with the following:-

• Ibodyshop (preferred – on site training available)
• Audanet
• ARNIE
• ESTIMAGE (preferred – on site training available)
• REPX
• PLANNING PLUS (preferred – on site training available)
• PARTS CHECK

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Able to quote NTAR/LTAR real time real money as well as funny money and able to understand and use Audanet for quoting as well as Ibodyshop
Good communication skills for customer service experience and enquiries both on site and via phone
Liaise with discuss issues with clients and insurer assessors
Quoting of towed vehicles – strip, photograph, and cost quote
Ordering of required parts for booked work contracts
Liaise with trade staff over methods of repair and supplementary work
Assist managers with toolbox meetings and workshop issues
Data entry and note recording on insurance portals for future reference
Current Drivers Licence

We are a looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team.
The suitable applicant would preferably have experience in the automotive industry but stock control in any industry would be beneficial.
Duties would include:-
General Parts Duties
Stores Ordering
Parts Management - Arrival
Parts Management - Monitoring of Back Order Parts, monitoring of ordered parts for towed vehicles
Parts Management - Ordering of Supplmentary Parts
Logging and arranging for transport of returned parts and monitoring credit notes
Storage and placement of received parts
Assistance with subcontracted jobs
Ability to work in a team environment is imperative.
Ability to problem solve and use initiative
Organising stock for workshop supplies including clips, sealers and other consumables
On site training will be provided for the various software programs relative to this position.
Immediate start.
Working hours (salary based) - wages negotiable for experience and performance

ADMINISTRATIVE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER

We are a busy smash repair company looking for an intelligent, enthusiastic person to join our administrative team in Toowoomba.

The suitable applicant would need to have experience in Reception, Administration and Customer Service. Good computer skills and telephone etiquette a must.

They will need to show a strong attention to detail with a commonsense approach to problem solving and an ability to multi-task under pressure.

Experience in the automotive industry and/or insurance industry would also be preferable.
The position will entail the following duties:-
- Front Reception – meet and greet customers
- Answering incoming calls and monitor company emails
- Booking appointments for quotes and authorized repairs
- Customer/Vehicle quotations co-ordination and photographs
- Monitoring of various insurer data bases and processing new job contracts
- Varied Data Entry and data recording
- Assisting customers with account payments
- Assist with any issues or customer complaints
- Liaising with Production Manager and Parts Officer ensuring jobs are on schedule and parts on site
- General Office duties as required
- Assist Estimator (if requested) with quotations such as provide pricing information and processing of quotes to insurance companies.
- Variety of other tasks as instructed by management
The successful applicant will receive full on-site training.

Working Hours:- 38+ (start and finish times to be determined)
Wages Salary - to be negotiated on experience

Now when customers need 20ft containers moved and machinery up to 6.5 tonne we can help! We also have two holding yards in Toowoomba. One in Toowoomba City and one in Drayton. We’d like to thank MartyArt Designs for doing another wrap on the new truck. Great job once again.
