Vacuum Tip: Order matters.
Mat stations, seats, floors, boot...in that order, you'll get a cleaner result without doubling up on work.
Also, don't forget we have free air to blow out the dust in your mats or those hard to reach areas between your seat and door sill.

When our team rocked up this morning, a whole fleet of Makita utes had already been through the wash and were lined up in the vac bays getting the inside sorted.

Spring Has Landed...And So Has Every Bit of Pollen and Bug Debris From Here to the Border.

Spring in the Southern Downs means two things for your paintwork: pollen dust and bug strikes. Neither is doing your car any favours.

Pollen isn't just annoying, it's corrosive.
Left to sit, pollen mixes with moisture and turns slightly acidic. On a hot bonnet, that combination can etch into clear coat before you've even noticed the yellow film. If your car's parked under trees or near paddocks this time of year, a weekly wash isn't overkill, it's maintenance.

Bug strikes need attention fast.
Bug guts are acidic too, and they harden within hours in the heat. The longer they sit, the more likely they are to stain or pit your paint; especially on bonnets, mirrors, and front bumpers. If you've just come off a country drive, don't let it wait for your next scheduled wash.

What this means for your visit:

Get the pollen film off before it bakes on; a quick rinse cycle handles this if you're in and out of town regularly.
Bug strikes on the front end benefit from a pre-soak before the main wash if you're using the self serves but our auto washes do this anyway.
Regular washing through spring protects your paint more than a single deep clean later.

Spring clean, spring queues 🌱

It's that time of year, everyone's giving the car a good once-over, and Baywash Southside gets busy for it. A few tips to keep things moving smoothly on those big weekend rushes:

🚗 Auto bays: we've got two. Think McDonald's drive-thru: if one's in use, swing round to the other and if they're both busy, just queue behind in the same way.

🚿 Self serve bays: Down the drive and turn right for 2 bays next to the autos, or turn left for 3 additional bays. Spread out and you'll be in and out faster.

👑 A Royal Long Weekend at Baywash! 👑

The King gets a birthday… and you get a clean car. Seems fair. 😂

We’ll be onsite all weekend and Monday’s public holiday, getting cars prepped and ready for the Auto Wash, so while you’re enjoying the long weekend, we’ll be doing the dirty work. 🚗✨

No need to bow. Just drive in. 😉

A message from Baywash Southside to the owners of this vehicle.

After several previous discussions, we have made it clear that washing dog faecal matter from your dog enclosure in our self-serve bays and spraying it all over the walls is not acceptable.

Unfortunately, the vehicle returned again on Monday evening after our customer service team had left, leaving the bay covered in matter and your soiled dog bedding left behind again. This is no longer a misunderstanding when repeatably done.

For health, hygiene and drainage reasons, animal waste cannot be washed through our bays. It also leaves an unacceptable mess for our team and, importantly, for the next customer.

As previously advised, we are asking that you please do not return to Baywash Southside.

We take pride in providing clean, safe facilities for all our customers and we care about our customers, our team, our site and our community and appreciate everyone that shows they care too. If you happen to see this happen at our site please let our team know.
