Today we had the job of getting this workhorse back to its daily duties on the farm after it sheared off a full set of studs.

In order to run these bigger alloy wheels this rig uses slip on spacers, which aren’t ideal as they put extra weight and stress on the wheel studs.

We completely overhauled the entire hub assembly to get this Ute back in action. With a new wheel bearing hub, wheel bearings, axle studs, axle seals, extra long wheel studs to accommodate the wheel spacer and some new handbrake shoe pins and springs that were bent out of shape.

So what is a DPF and what does it do?

A DPF (diesel particulate filter) is a filter tucked into most modern diesel exhaust systems that captures and stores exhaust soot and other nasty particles in order to reduce emissions from diesel cars.

If this filter gets blocked, you may experience symptoms such as:
- Loss of power
- Poor fuel economy
- Check engine light on
- Limp mode

Something not sound right? Don’t turn up the radio!

This customer did the best thing you could possibly do when you hear a strange noise, they stopped the car.

This tensioner unit for the serpentine belt failed in a big way, which you can see. When this happens, it can de-rail the drive belt causing you to lose drive to your water pump, power steering pump, air conditioning & alternator. Which can result in serious damage, or worse.

If something doesn’t sound right, get it checked!
