RYAN'S GTS SKYLINE

We've been waiting a while to do a post about Ryan's GTS. It's been a long time in the making but we're pretty sure the end result was worth the wait.

Ryan's GTS features our 300-350KW turbo conversion package as seen on lots of our VL's. Slightly more difficult to carry out as we wanted to keep the car as original as possible.

Featuring a Link ECU plug & play, JPC exhaust manifold, Pulsar Turbo Australia turbo, Turbosmart wastegate, plazmaman.com throttle body & clamps, JPC sealing ring & head gasket kit, JPC cylinder head & cam package, JPC trigger kit, Platinum Racing Products 35 GTR coil kit, JPC inlet manifold, lots of other JPC goodies. All wiring & fabrication done in house.

Attention to detail was important on this build which is why we went above & beyond to ensure no holes were cut & minimal modifications were carried out. Auto was upgraded but standard shifter was utilized, battery in factory position & standard airbox still in place.

We hope this car makes Ryan as happy as it made us.

JPC RB30 SEALING RING & HEAD GASKET KITS

It’s no secret that sealing rings are a must have for most performance engines, although we did our best to keep this method on the down low when we originally had them made 20+ years ago.

Keeping the head sealed on a VL was hard work back in the day. Limited options were available in the way of head gaskets. We first used sealing rings on Vas’s black RB30 powered Holden VL which ultimately helped us be the first into the 8’s.

Pleased to say that we offer this in a drop in (no block machining required) & non drop in option (grooves required – machined into block).

We’ve taken the time & done the testing to ensure that these kits work, we also wanted something that was going to be relatively affordable. Rings & head gaskets can be purchased separately which is ideal in race car situations when you have the cylinder head on & off. Rings can be reused, gasket replaced as needed.

2023 VL NATIONALS HOSTED BY Heathcote Park Raceway.

Firstly, we would like to say a huge thanks to Lance & the team for always going above & beyond for their racers. Track was prepped well & the event didn’t disappoint.

Secondly, we would like to give Paul a big pat on the back. The last 2-weeks have been chaotic to say the least & Paul worked tirelessly to get the car done in time.

We went into Saturday with the goal of running a 6-second pass. We’d made a relatively last-minute decision to upgrade the turbo, so no track testing had been carried out with the new combination. Friday night we did a brief 2-step check at the workshop & then the car was loaded into the trailer.

As most people saw, we battled with getting the car to leave as hard as it usually does. We spent the first half of the day trying to work out a 2-step issue & get the 60-foot time back to where it had previously been. Once we got the boost sorted & the 60-foot back we just couldn't get a clean pass done.

We can confidently say that the power is there, we didn’t get the golden pass we wanted over the weekend but we’re happy with our achievements & hopeful that this will be a consistent 6-second car in the near future.

Thanks to everyone who's helped & supported us along the way. We're always excited for whats to come & to get back out soon.

RYAN'S NISSAN NAVARA.

Ryan's Navara came to us from Wilworx automotive to finish off a hotside package.

We installed the supplied exhaust manifold, supplied a Pulsar Turbo, made lines, Turbosmart external wastegate, dump pipe & full exhaust, installed a front mount intercooler, wired in a ECU Monsoon & carried out tuning.

STANDARD ENGINE 175KW ON 14PSI.

DAMIAN'S TIDY RB30 POWERED HOLDEN VL.

Damian's VL originally came to us for diagnosis of a fault & a tune. After we sorted through a couple of issues, Damian decided he wanted additional modifications carried out while we had the vehicle.

- JPC HIDDEN CAM TRIGGER KIT.
- JPC STAGE III DROP IN CAM & VALVE SPRING PACKAGE.
- IDLE CONTROL MOTOR FOR EASY COLD START.
- FLEX FUEL SENSOR WITH TUNING ON 98 & E85.
- PERFORMANCE CLUTCH UPGRADE.

Attached graph shows power when vehicle originally came in on 98, retuned on 98 with above upgrades & final power figure of 382KW on E85.
