The 2026 Noosa Winter Hillclimb once again proved why it has earned its reputation as one of Qld's premier hillclimb events. The weekend brought together an outstanding field of competitors, dedicated officials & volunteers, generous sponsors, & enthusiastic spectators who travelled from near & far to experience one of the most picturesque motorsport events.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Noosa hinterland, the challenging course on Gyndier Drive delivered exciting competition from the first run to the final climb. Drivers demonstrated exceptional skill, precision & commitment as they tackled the demanding circuit in a remarkable variety of competition vehicles, providing spectators with a memorable experience.
An event of this scale is only possible through the commitment of an incredible team of people who work tirelessly behind the scenes. On behalf of the Noosa Beach Classic Car Club, we extend our sincere congratulations and heartfelt thanks to Event Director Peter Quinn, whose countless hours of planning, organisation and attention to detail over many months laid the foundation for another outstanding event. Peter's leadership was instrumental in ensuring the 2026 Noosa Winter Hillclimb was both professionally conducted and highly successful.
Working alongside Peter was an exceptional team whose experience & dedication ensured the event ran smoothly throughout the weekend. Our sincere appreciation goes to Competition Director Scott Bingham, Clerk of Course Judy Evans, Deputy Clerk of Course David Evans and all the Motorsport Australia officials whose professionalism, expertise and commitment to safety were evident at every stage of the event. We also acknowledge the enormous contribution made by our Noosa Beach Classic Car Club Volunteers. From the weeks leading up to the event, throughout the competition and then again after the final car had crossed the finish line, our members rolled up their sleeves to undertake the countless physical tasks required to prepare the venue and support the running of the event. Their willingness to volunteer their time & effort is one of the reasons this event continues to thrive.
A special thank you also goes to our two major event sponsors, Eureka Landscapes- Jason McGarry and Toucan Removals- Krystal & Mark Cunningham, whose teams once again took on the enormous task of setting up and pulling down the event infrastructure. Their professionalism, generosity and hands on support played a significant role in the smooth operation of the weekend, and we are extremely grateful for their outstanding contribution.
Our appreciation also goes to event photographer Russell Witt, who once again captured the excitement, speed & emotion of the weekend with his outstanding action photography. His images not only preserve the memories of the event but also showcase the spirit of the Noosa Winter Hillclimb for competitors, spectators and motorsport enthusiasts alike. To our Competitors, thank you for your outstanding support and sportsmanship throughout the weekend. The quality of the driving and the diversity of machinery on display continue to make the Noosa Winter Hillclimb a truly unique event.
Our sincere appreciation also goes to the many Spectators who attended and created such a wonderful atmosphere. Whether you were a returning supporter or experiencing the event for the first time, your enthusiasm helped make the weekend a great success. We trust you enjoyed not only the spectacular action on the course but also the welcoming spirit & camaraderie that have become hallmarks of the Noosa Winter Hillclimb.
As another successful event comes to a close, we thank everyone who contributed in so many different ways.
