🦺 NEXT FORKLIFT COURSE β€” MONDAY 28th & TUESDAY 29th SEPTEMBER 🦺

It's been a while since we've had a forklift course on, and demand is already looking pretty strong.

And this one is a bit special...

Big Henry Erich is coming back to his home town for TWO DAYS ONLY to help Uncle Deano out! πŸ’ͺ

For those who know Henry, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about β€” one of the nicest (and funniest!) blokes you'll ever meet. πŸ˜‚

He's a bloody good forklift and truck trainer, and I'm really happy to have him back alongside me for these two days.

Clarke's β€” no hobos, just great people! πŸ˜‚

We've currently got ONLY 5 SPOTS REMAINING.

If you're an employer with people driving forklifts, this is a good opportunity to get your people sorted properly.

A reminder too β€” anyone operating a forklift in NSW must hold the appropriate Safework High Risk Work Licence. It's not something to take shortcuts with.

So if you've got someone on the farm, in the shed, workshop, warehouse or yard who regularly jumps on the forklift, do the right thing and make sure they're properly licensed and trained.

And for anyone looking to improve their employment opportunities, a forklift licence can be a really useful ticket to have in your pocket. It can open doors across agriculture, transport, warehousing, manufacturing, construction and plenty of other industries.

Monday 28th & Tuesday 29th September

⚠️ 5 spots remaining

If you're thinking about getting your forklift licence, don't leave it until the last minute.

Give me a call or flick me a message and we'll have a yarn.

πŸš›πŸ€  McKenzie Mizzi β€” YOU ROCK! πŸ€ πŸš›

Well... yesterday McKenzie turned up to tame the mighty Una Veronica.

And the FIRST thing she said to me was:

"I just set a new record for changing a tyre on the Patrol β€” 11 minutes!"

😳

Deano's jaw hit the floor.

Righto... I reckon this girl might be alright! πŸ˜‚

And she certainly was.

McKenzie went on to learn the Road Ranger gearbox, get to grips with the mighty Una Veronica and tackle all the nerves, fear and self-doubt that come with learning something completely new.

Then yesterday afternoon she sailed through her HR assessment.

A few little errors along the way? Yep.

But that's what learning is about.

What mattered was watching McKenzie overcome those nerves, back herself and get the job done.

What a cowgirl! 🀠

And this is exactly why I love doing what I do.

You don't need to turn up knowing everything. You don't need to be a truckie. You don't need to pretend you're not nervous.

I've had plenty of Nervous Nellies come through my door β€” blokes AND girls! πŸ˜‚

If you're nervous, that's okay. If you've never driven a truck before, that's okay too.

At Clarke's, there is no yelling, no carrying on and no making you feel stupid. We'll take our time, have a few laughs and work through it together.

And for the ladies wondering whether truck training is for them...

You bet your boots it is! πŸ‘’πŸ€ πŸš›

McKenzie is proof that sometimes all you need to do is have a crack, back yourself and give it a go.

Well done, mate. I'm bloody proud of you β€” and you should be bloody proud of yourself too!

Congratulations on getting your HR licence. πŸš›πŸ‘

And remember...

Anyone can help you get a licence. I want to help you build a career.

Well done McKenzie! πŸ‘

πŸš› A BLOODY GREAT AGQUIP STORY TODAY... πŸš›

One of the best things about being at AgQuip today wasn't actually about selling truck licences at all.

It was about running into the past.

I've had quite a few people come up to me today because they've seen "Clarke's Transport Wauchope" on the door of the mighty Una Veronica.

And yes... I'm now based in Tamworth and Clarke's Heavy Vehicle Licensing services Tamworth and the whole of North West NSW.

But I'll always be a Wauchope boy at heart.

The reason that Clarke's Transport Wauchope is still on the truck β€” and the reason the colours look the way they do β€” is because they're my grandfather Earl Clarke's colours. Una Veronica was his wife- my grandmother, and without her Clarke's Transport wouldn't have been a thing at all.

And today I had a particularly special reminder of where all this started.

A bloke came up to me at AgQuip with his little boy and told me that he recognised the colours on the truck.

His father β€” his little boy's grandfather β€” was Allan Duck from Comboyne, who used to drive trucks for my grandfather Earl many years ago.

We had a great yarn about the old days, trucks and the transport industry.

And now here we are, all these years later β€” I'm carrying on the family trucking tradition, and his son is running two trucks of his own down in the Hunter Valley.

How bloody good is that?

Three generations, trucks, families and a connection that goes all the way back to my grandfather.

The trucking industry really is a bloody small world!

Thanks for coming up and having a yarn today mate β€” it was an absolute pleasure.

And to all my old Wauchope friends who have spotted the truck and come over to say g'day...

Yes, I'm still a Wauchope boy. ❀️

I'm based in Tamworth these days, and I'm bloody proud to be servicing Tamworth and the whole of North West NSW.

But...

πŸ‘€ For all my Wauchope people β€” stay tuned.

There might just be a bit more Clarke's action heading back your way in the next few months...

Watch this space. πŸ˜‰

And if you're at AgQuip tomorrow, come and find me at SITE Q30.
