With Long Drive for Drought kicking off today for another year, we are sad that we have to sit this one out. We have been apart of the drive for a number of years now and it isn’t just about getting the 40 series community together, it’s about something so much bigger than that. It allows us to give back to rural communities who are in desperate need and raise awareness for our farmers who we couldn’t survive without.

The LDFD team alongside Farm Angels, do an amazing job in organising the event and if you can spare a few dollars, please head over to www.longdrivefordrought.com.au to donate. Every dollar counts towards helping our farmers.

The best part of building these cars is seeing them complete and on the road again. A lot of them have sat in paddocks or in sheds for years. So for us, to be able to hand a build over to our customers after giving these old girls a new lease on life is a cool thing.

Over the years, we have found a pretty common problem with front crossmembers on these old girls. They rust out, snap and loose all the structural integrity in the front of your chassis. We have designed a replacement that allows you to cut the old one out and slot the new one back in without too much hassle.

Our front crossmember kits are to suit all models of 40 Series built after 1967, made out of 5mm steel and has two different widths - 230mm and 297mm.

We had this little beauty in the shed for re-fresh. Not everyone has the time to throw at these old girls so we are always happy to lend a hand and get them back on the road.

Ticked a few jobs off the list:
- Resealed the gearbox
- Rear main seal
- Fixed leaking sump
- Re-trimmed the front and rear seats
- New seals in back doors
- Suppled and mounted a new factory bumper
- Wiring tidy up
- Cleaned and treated the paint and sealed it up with x-trol rust conqueror
- Fixed spare tyre carrier and a few other bits and bobs.

She’s ready to head home 👍
