Turning waste into valuable resources.

Our team is helping drive sustainability outcomes at the IGLU Kensington project by recovering demolition and excavation materials and supplying recycled products back into the construction process.

To date, our resource recovery efforts have delivered significant results:
• 1,127 tonnes of concrete recycled
• 220 tonnes of asphalt recycled
• Over 2,600 tonnes of soils and sand processed
• 1,933 tonnes of recycled road base supplied

In partnership with Moits and FDC Construction & Fitout, this project highlights the positive impact of circular construction practices, reducing landfill while maximising the value of recovered materials.

What does responsible large-scale excavation and resource recovery look like?

It's not just about moving material. It's about what happens next.

The sandstone excavated from this site is being transported back to Rock & Dirt Recycling, where it will be processed and repurposed into our 53MM Sandstone.

When it comes to sustainability, this material isn't going to waste. It will be reused in major development projects across Western Sydney, giving valuable resources a second life and helping reduce reliance on virgin materials.

Forward-thinking for a sustainable future.♻️

Project Highlight | Macquarie Park

Proud to be supporting Moits on excavation works at The Macquarie Collection, Macquarie Park, through the processing, recycling, and management of excavated material from this major Sydney development.

With deep excavation underway for an 8-level basement, the project continues to highlight the scale of logistics, material recovery, and sustainable reuse required across large civil construction projects.
Current project volumes:
▪️ VENM Sandstone: 306,486T
▪️ ENM: 7,300T

These materials are being processed and recycled at Rock & Dirt Recycling, providing efficient resource recovery solutions and sustainable reuse pathways for the civil and construction industry.

Working alongside Moits and the broader project team, our focus remains on maximising material recovery and reducing waste to landfill.

A strong example of large-scale excavation and resource recovery working hand in hand.
