Where to start on this build.... We built the engine for this car near 5 years ago and sent it to Ado the owner at that time in Victoria. Fast forward to now and the current owner Garth who is in Sydney and has owned it for 2 years got in touch with us. He said the old girl was desperately in need of help. It came in to us with no gearbox and plagued with problems.

First up we needed a gearbox so we carried out a R series 5 speed manual conversion utilising a built and modified box with an array of goodies inside, custom made tail shaft, new crossmember, new bell housing, new twin plate clutch etc with the shifter coming out of the standard position. We then moved onto electrical and general work the car required and wired up a Microtech EFI dash with custom can coding to be able to display the vitals the MAXXECU was reading. We serviced the secondary injectors and fitted and wired new primaries. We diagnosed and replaced faulty ign1a coils. Diagnosed and fixed vacuum leaks. Modified the dump pipe to suit the new box and clearance and much more.

Now it was time to turn the key but the existing tune-up in the maxxecu was not upto task, so we decided to wipe it clean and start from scratch.... We entrusted Huss from RDP and worked along side him to finally make this thing sing a good song.

The combo now starts drives, cruises makes power how it should have and doesn't melt spark plugs or make the turbine and exhaust glow at idle 🤣 Its on flex fuel, pump 98 12psi it made 402hp, pump E55 and 20-22psi it made 531hp. This is on a very soft and super conservative tune as the engine is hurt and not ideal from all the previous drama its been through. We Just wanted to give Garth something to enjoy until we can squeeze him in for a refresh so we can turn it up safely.

7 years between drinks! We had Draxy’s pump98 warrior out at the track tonight to chase that 9 sec pass. After a string of mid to low 10s we finished up the night with a 10.0 @138.97mph!

Pumped from the 10.0 pass we headed out again but the clutch had enough and slipped the whole way.

With a new clutch we will be back out to have another crack in this yldaz built pump98 H pattern street car.

This car runs a s4 cast plated 13b engine, Microtech EFI lt10c ecu, a w58 5 speed box, pump98 fuel from the cuzzies at 7/11 with auxillary water/meth injection.

Big congrats and well done to my apprentice old boy Drax rowing them gears like no other!

Run in on the dyno it is! With the car all sorted for once and ready to drive and run in, now Jamie has no time to drive it😂 so we decided to put it on the dyno to break it in a little. Few heat cycles later, we did a smoke test a plug change a few checks and it was time to go.

The mighty 12a ran out of wastegate spring but made a solid 336hp at the hubs on 12 pounds of boost on an extremely safe and conservative tuneup on pump 98 fuel from the cuzzies at 7/11. Let Jamie enjoy it and should he wish to turn it up we will visit the dyno again.

Yeah the hack! Out for its yearly dose of sunshine🤣 decided to get rid of the original bench seat as the old back couldn’t handle more then 30mins in it. Fitted up some low back retro bucket seats to keep the old school theme and ofcourse had to take it for a spin to test it out.

Better late than never! We supplied and built Jamie a 12at block over a year ago for his beautiful coupe unfortunately for Jamie it wasn’t smooth sailing as the freshly built car was riddled with wiring and mechanical issues from the initial shop that wired it and carried out the mechanicals and due to all these issues the car could not be driven to run in the fresh built engine.

Just wanting this cool thing to hit the streets and be enjoyed we took it on board to rectify the issues. Now the Haltech elite 1500 is wired and working how it should be, the mechanical issues rectified the long awaiting yldaz built 12at can be finally run in.

Special thanks to Hussain Patel for jumping on board with short notice and touching up the tune on the Haltech, can’t wait for the full send!

Last minute decision to head out to 2wd Roll Racing Sydney event last night. Old boy Draxy was out there rowing them gears and offering joy rides cutting laps😊 10 plus runs between 570-600whp on pump 98 fuel with aux water injection and old faithful Microtech EFI ecu onboard.Driven to track and back home to fight another day. All on s4 13b cast plated block!
