Happy Birthday to my soulmate Luigi Pacelli. What a challenging year it has been. If we had gone by the doctors’ first diagnosis, you wouldn’t be here celebrating another birthday with us today. But you’re here and that is something I will never take for granted. This past year has been difficult, but you kept fighting and even worked through all your treatments. Introducing this 1995 Maserati Ghibli Open Cup Evoluzione – Car #21 of just 24 ever produced.

Originally built for the Maserati Open Cup championship, only 10 of the 24 chassis remained dedicated race cars. Today, after four have been lost, only six original race cars are believed to survive worldwide.

This example remains in its original race specification, showing just 590 km on the odometer. It was one of the final race cars campaigned by Maserati and received factory competition upgrades including:

• Modified ECUs
• High-flow injectors
• Racing camshafts
• Cylinder head work
• Factory racing extractors

Producing approximately 400 hp, this Ghibli has an incredible racing history spanning Italy and Australia.

Adding to its story, the current owner has cherished this car for 24 years, purchasing it directly from a Maserati dealership where they worked for 18 years.

A true piece of Maserati motorsport history—and a privilege to have at European Galleria.
