Race the Yamaha BLU CRU YZ65 Cup! Yamaha Motor Australia has announced the Yamaha BLU CRU YZ65 Cup will be returning in November 2026 to run in conjunction with the national AUSX series. The first event will be held on 7 November in Geelong. The second in Perth on 14 November and the final in Newcastle on 28 November.

YZ65 riders aged nine to 12-years-old, with a current MA licence, are invited to register their interest by 14 September. The Yamaha BLU CRU YZ65 Cup offers participants a unique experience, with unparalleled access to Yamaha's professional race teams, and memories that will last a lifetime.

The Yamaha BLU CRU YZ65 Cup offers nine to 12-year-olds to feel what it’s like to be a factory rider for the day.

YMA has been providing this unique experience since 2018 and has proved super popular for young guns starting out in the sport. Even 13-year-old Yamaha rider Blake Bohannon, from Herons Creek in NSW, was a previous BLU CRU YZ65 rider and he just won both 85cc motos in the Czech Republic, in July, to become the first Australian to win a FIM Junior Motocross World Championship.

Murray and his mates have a tradition of all riding down to Phillip Island together to check out the annual Australian MotoGP races. This year it’s getting a bit competitive and many of his crew have already upgraded their rides through Procycles BMW.

Murray doesn’t want to get left behind so he came in to upgrade to a BMW S1000 XR, a high-performance sport-tourer that blends superbike engine power with long-distance upright comfort.

The inline-four engine produces 170 hp at 11,000 rpm and torque of 84 lb-ft at 9,200 rpm. Below 6,000 revs, the S1000 XR is comfortable handling city streets; above that Murray will need to hang on as it transforms into an aggressive sport bike, with all the power and characteristics of its RR stablemate.

The S1000 XR features semi-active Dynamic Electronic Suspension Adjustment, that smooths out bumpy roads while remaining firm enough for sharp cornering. It’s equipped with 320 mm twin front Brembo discs and BMW’s Integral ABS Pro for stable, sharp stopping power.

The Riding Modes include Rain, Road, Dynamic, and Dynamic Pro which adjusts throttle response and suspension settings. And the electronics suite has Dynamic Traction Control via a six-axis IMU, Cruise control, Heated grips, and a seamless up/down Quickshifter. all visible on the bright 6.5-inch TFT screen display, controlled via BMW's signature wonder wheel.

Paul is a very experienced Enduro rider who has been racing through the bush for many years. Now that it’s time to go touring and explore a lot further afield, Paul had some very definite ideas of how he wanted to spec his bike to do the job.

He had already decided that BMW’s R1300 GS Triple Black was the right bike, he just needed Procycles BMW Hornsby to build it with all the right factory options. We ordered his new GS with the Enduro Package Pro, Automated Shift Assist and Adaptive Ride Height. Then we painted the Engine Protection Bars and Radiator Cowl covers black to match the rest of the bike. Our Procycles workshop fitted a Lone Rider Lighting system, BMW Full Vario factory Luggage pack, Wunderlich Extreme Bash plate, a Tinted Windscreen and a Headlight Protector. Everything Paul needs to head for the horizon on one of the best Adventure Touring bikes on the market.
