We're excited to announce that HEL Performance is joining the Carbon Autohaus portfolio.

Founded in 1999, HEL started with a simple goal: to set a new benchmark in braking performance. Since then, the brand has grown into a globally recognised manufacturer of high-performance brake and clutch lines, with a strong presence across motorsport, automotive and performance applications.

And there's a good reason we've added them to our range.

WHY BRAIDED BRAKE LINES?
Standard rubber brake hoses are designed to flex. Under heavy braking, heat and hydraulic pressure can cause that hose to expand slightly, which can contribute to a softer or less consistent pedal feel.

HEL's stainless steel braided lines use a PTFE inner hose surrounded by stainless steel braiding, helping minimise expansion under pressure and heat. The result is a firmer, more consistent pedal feel and improved feedback through the brake pedal.
- For a performance street car, that means improved pedal feel.
- For a car seeing repeated hard braking on track, consistency becomes even more important.

HEL also offers a huge range of applications across European, Japanese, American and Australian vehicles, making them a great addition to our growing performance parts portfolio.

SuperPro Suspension

Good suspension isn't just about making a car stiffer. It's about controlling movement, improving geometry and giving you the ability to fine tune how the car behaves.

Here are some key SuperPro components for the Golf R:
TRC0003 - Front Roll Centre & Camber Correction Kit
Corrects front roll centre geometry and provides additional camber adjustment, particularly useful on lowered vehicles.

ALOY0006K - Alloy Lower Control Arms
Lightweight alloy construction with performance bushes, designed to improve front-end control, increase caster and maintain alignment under load.

RC0052FZ-26KIT - 26mm Front Sway Bar & End Link Kit
A 2-position adjustable bar with heavy-duty links. Changing the bar position alters roll stiffness, allowing the chassis balance to be fine-tuned.

RC0052RZ-22KIT - 22mm Rear Sway Bar & End Link Kit
2-position adjustable with heavy-duty links, designed to reduce body roll and improve cornering response and chassis balance.

TRC1218 - Adjustable Rear Toe Arms
On-car adjustable rear toe correction, giving precise control of rear alignment and handling balance.

TRC1219 - Adjustable Rear Camber Arms
Provides up to 2.5° of camber correction, allowing the rear alignment to be properly tailored to the car’s setup.

Why does it matter?
Camber affects tyre contact through corners.
Toe influences stability and turn in.
Caster affects steering feel and front end behaviour.
Roll centre influences suspension geometry.
Sway bars control chassis movement and roll stiffness.

Together, these components give you far more control over how the chassis behaves and how the alignment can be tailored to the car.

Street to Track - Part 2 🏁

Power gets you down the straight. The chassis determines how you get through the corner.

For the next stage of our Street to Track build, we're turning our attention to one of the most important parts of the car: the chassis.

We've teamed up with SuperPro to develop a comprehensive suspension package designed to give us more control, more adjustability and ultimately more confidence when this Golf R hits the circuit.

And now we're adding:
• TRC0003 Front Roll Centre & Camber Correction Kit
• TRC1218 Adjustable Rear Toe Arms
• TRC1219 Adjustable Rear Camber Arms

This isn't about simply making the car stiffer.
It's about being able to control the geometry of the car and tune the chassis around how we intend to drive it.

With adjustable camber and toe at the rear, plus front camber and roll centre correction, we're gaining more ability to properly align and set the car up as the build evolves.

“Fake R” 👀

That was the verdict from quite a few people after our last Golf R dyno video.Why
Because in the video, only the front wheels were spinning.

Guess not everyone knows that the Golf R's Haldex AWD system can be disconnected, allowing the car to be safely tested on a 2WD dyno. The car is still a Golf R, still AWD on the road, but for dyno testing the rear drivetrain can be disconnected so the front wheels can be tested independently.

Now, onto the part that actually matters...
This manual Golf R is running a serious Stage 3 setup and put down an impressive:

Turning a capable street car into a track-focused machine is all about choosing the right components.

As this Golf R continues its Street to Track transformation, we’re installing the Integrated Engineering Cat-Back Exhaust System adding another layer of performance, sound and character to the build.

The IE system is designed to improve exhaust flow while delivering a more aggressive exhaust note, without turning the car into something that’s difficult to live with on the street.

Lightweight construction, quality materials and a refined exhaust note make it a great fit for a Golf R that needs to perform on track while remaining enjoyable on the road.

This is another step in a build where every component has a purpose.

Q300 or R400... which one gets your vote? 🎵🔥

On paper, these two Volkswagen Golf R Mk7.5 builds are almost identical. On the road, they each have their own personality.

Both cars are running Galano Stage 3 Flex calibration, a Garrett 2260S Stage 1 turbo, and a catted downpipe, meaning performance between the two is extremely similar. The biggest difference comes down to the exhaust system and the calibration strategy.

The Golf on the left is equipped with an Invidia Q300 Catback and Invidia Catted Downpipe. The Q300 is known for its refined, deeper exhaust note with minimal cabin drone, making it an excellent choice for enthusiasts who want a subtle yet sporty soundtrack. This car is also running without a crackle map, allowing the natural tone of the EA888 engine to shine through.

The Golf on the right features an Invidia R400 Catback paired with a PRS Catted Downpipe. The R400 delivers a noticeably louder, deeper, and more aggressive exhaust note with increased volume throughout the rev range. Combined with a crackle map, it offers a much more theatrical driving experience with sharper overrun pops and bangs.

From a performance perspective, there is very little difference between the Q300 and R400. Both exhausts offer excellent flow and are capable of supporting high-power MQB builds. The choice really comes down to your preferred sound and driving experience rather than outright horsepower.

This Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk7.5 is a complete Stage 3 proFlex build, engineered to deliver serious power while maintaining the drivability that makes the EA888 platform so rewarding.
