🏁 SubiNats 2026 — WHAT A WEEKEND! 🏆

A massive thank you to the Subinats club and all the volunteers who put in countless hours behind the scenes to make this event happen. Your hard work and dedication don’t go unnoticed!

With Time Attack finished, we went straight into Subinats prep, and what a hectic few weeks it was! 🔧

Engine builds, big brake kits, rear-wheel-drive conversion, and getting our Show & Shine cars ready — there was no shortage of work in the workshop & all in 4 weeks.

Both BOM83R and the ute got a fresh new look, thanks to Signs by Novak. From start to finish, The results speak for themselves.

And to top it all off, I managed to take home 🥇 FIRST PLACE IN STREET CLASS!

A huge shout-out to the people who helped make it all happen:

🔥 THE GC8 IS ALIVE 🔥

After a massive amount of work, the GC8 is finally back together and running.

This build has been a long one, with pretty much every area of the car getting attention — from the engine and fuel system to the suspension, exhaust, bodywork and electronics.

The run-in tune has been completed by Ichiban, and she’s now ready for the next stage. 🏁

🏁 TEAM NOVAK WRX — READY FOR THE TRACK

Out with the old. In with the new. 🔥

Team Novak’s WRX has just had a serious heart transplant at SubieWorks.

The old engine is out and the new setup is built around an IAG Performance 750, backed by some serious hardware:

🔧 The GC8 is coming together!

We’ve just wrapped up underneath this one, and it’s looking seriously fresh. 👌

Complete suspension rebuild, fresh bushes and components, upgraded sway bars and a whole lot of attention to detail underneath.

It’s not just about making them look good from the top — we want them just as good underneath. 💪

Looks like the shelves are staying full for a little while. 👌

The GC8 build continues… 🔥

This isn’t just a suspension refresh… it’s a complete suspension overhaul. 💪

Every bush, every worn component, every part that matters is being replaced to bring this GC8 back to better-than-new condition.

While we’re at it, it’s also getting a Brembo brake conversion to match the fresh suspension and give it the stopping power it deserves. 🛑

This build is stacked with quality gear, and we can’t wait to get it all bolted together and back on the road.

🛠️ Today’s mission: GC8 Fuel Tank Replacement

This classic GC8 has spent years parked up, and unfortunately the fuel tank didn’t survive the long nap. Rust, stale fuel and years of sitting had taken their toll, so it was time for a replacement.

Think changing a fuel tank is a quick job? Think again… 😅

On a GC8, it’s a big undertaking:
🔧 Rear subframe out
🔧 Diff dropped
🔧 Suspension disconnected
🔧 Fuel system stripped down
🔧 Tank finally comes out

It’s one of those jobs where you don’t realise how much is involved until you’re halfway through!

The good news? Once it’s all back together, this Subaru will be one step closer to getting back on the road where it belongs. 💙
