1994 BMW K1100 LT - not your average Flying Brick.
With a sizable list of tasteful custom upgrades this BMW came in to rectify a number of issues and ensure all elements of this build comes together nicely.
First up was a fork rebuild with new seals and oil, along with repairing some ageing components that are getting trickier to come by. A pair of raised clip on bars to improve ergonomics, headlight and indicator electrical fix, along with a quality rewiring of the rear indicator and brake light assembly by adding a waterproof plug to provide easy removal when needed.
A thorough inspection of the clutch pivot arm and transfer case boot found a small leak and a replacement of seals was done to rectify. With a longitudinal engine setup this was not your straight forward access job. A maintenance service with full fluid change was also undertaken.
Diagnosing and repairing the electronic system. This system overrides the factory key and traditional starting operation by utilising a wireless key fob and a trick instrument cluster. Testing the main board, rectifying the wiring issues and replacing the damaged key, the bike now starts with 007 Bond vibes. Having taken it for a test ride, she sure has grunt and an amazing note with the individual throttle body air filters.
We also offered a hassle free pick up and drop off transport service.
Finally as always a signature Micky K's detail was completed to make her pop.
Final destination to fix all issues.
